Once a Maori Pa site, the property is steeped in local history - of ancient battles, love and life - and looks out towards the historic Mokoia Island. The Lodge itself is a converted 1930's mansion filled with beautiful antiques and only 10 minutes from the heart of Rotorua. Linking into Rotorua's spa heritage we have our own therapeutic health and wellness treatment room and a small guest gym. Other facilities include a tennis court, private beach, native bush walks and jetty.

From the moment we arrived, when a staff member came to the car to welcome us, to the time we left, the experience was wonderful. We were lucky enough to stay in room 1 the VIP suite. What a view from the room and deck, incredible. Well worth the extra $ for this room. The room was very large, clean and well appointed. Our package included dinner which was beautifully presented and delicious. Thank you to the chef who came out to introduce himself and have a chat. The grounds are immaculate and a real credit to the ground staff. It was the ultimately the staff that made this a great couple of days. Highly recommended

My wife and I stayed 2 nights in the smaller apartment and it was just wonderful. It’s all really nicely done, incredibly comfortable, everything you need and a great view over the lake. The staff are delightful, friendly and super to deal with, just lovely people. Anne the manager was amazing. We were attending a wedding and it was faultlessly arranged. Delightful chapel btw with stunning view. I’d say this would be the nicest place to stay in Rotorua.

We stayed here at the end of a weeks road trip In all the 7 nights this was by far the worst and the most expensive by far! Lovely location and views but our accommodation smelt very musty / damp The farm animals were fun to feed and probably the highlight! We were the only people dining that night so felt rushed and watched I would not recommend New Zealand has so much more to offer

I have never had such a disturbing review in the entire time I have been working here as Lodge Manager and I am at a bit of a loss as to how to respond to you, only to say I am very sorry you did not enjoy your time with us. If you want to feel special, in beautiful surrounds, gorgeous decor with excellent professional service then this restaurant is highly recommended. The meals were all lovely, small portions but delicious.

WOW, we had a fantastic / awesome / incredible / amazing (etc) night at Peppers on the Point. Started as soon as we drove up when we were greeted my name as we got out of the car, shown around the property and then shown our room! We were lucky enough to be upgraded and had the original bedroom from when this was a family home. Then they offered to serve us our meal in our room - what better way to spend our wedding anniversary.
