The Lodge is within a residential area of the city right on Lake Rotorua with great views. They do a seriously good breakfast cooked by Mike the chef who even makes his own muffins. As it is a lodge they do not provide dinner so you need to take a taxi ride into town. On our two such trips we...

It's Becky and Mike do a fantastic job of running the place for the owners. We should have stayed here another night rather than bothered with Chateau Tongariro in the national park. The lodge is well maintained and clean. Breakfast was wonderful and the surrounding and view are lovely. Hot tub and Sauna if you want to use it. Book...

We stayed for two nights, unfortunately it rained hard whilst we were there. The lodge is in a wonderful location on the edge of the lake and the suites overlook lake and lovely garden. We were extremely well looked after by Michael and Becky. I am not giving five stars as at breakfast tinned peaches and pears were in evidence,...

Thanks for your 4 star review and your lovely comments on both our property and our staff. However, for the benefit of the reader I add the following: Freshly cut seasonal fruit, grapes and bunches of fresh bananas are always part of our everyday buffet offering, along with a selection of both preserved and dried fruits: well at least they...

We arrived from The Coromandel to find a wonderful setting next to the lake. We soon had a jacuzzi admiring the views. Our room is really comfortable and everything is of a high standard. Breakfast excellent and the whole demeanour is great. Very enjoyable and highly recommended

This is a lovely place to stay, the rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. The beds are comfy and it was nice to have lovely extras included. Toiletries, milk, tissues, lots of towels, SkY TV. We felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. We are lucky we got a great lounge and kitchen which overlooked the lake. The hosts were...

The location and the staff make this place. It's right on Lake Rotorua, which is a delight. Micheal was present when we checked in and he really extended himself with suggestions, reservations help etc. The room itself was a little over-furnished, cutting down on available room and making for difficult walking routes. Try to avoid room # 1 as it...

You really are spoilt with Koura Lodge, the setting is just stunning with views of the lake and beyond. The garden rooms opened straight onto the lawn, with sun beds and the lake shore so close, you could dip your toes whilst sunbathing. Our tour operator told us that it's run as a hotel rather than a hosted property and...

Well this rates as one of our two favourite places to stay (the other being in Majorca, should you wish to know!). We had a lodge room (8), although not in the main lodge it still had a great view of the lake, with our own sitting area. Bedroom had everything we needed - well laid out and we loved...
