Very dated, decor shabby but clean and cheap. Old style shower needs update and beds are lumpy. Free WiFi was good. Good guest laundry. Could be much better with a little TLC but you get what you pay for at $98.

Reasonable value for money. Room was a studio with a single and double bed. The room is very basic but clean, large but only two chairs and a small table. Temperature overnight was fine when using the stand up fan provided. Close to town and Brooklands park.

Stayed here for one night while passing through. Just note there is no air conditioning if you are planning to come to summer beware. They do have a fan in the cupboard which you can use. We just need somewhere to have a shower and sleep the night so this was perfect. They seem child friendly with a few children...

We chose this Motel as it was the closest to the City, and closest to Pukekura Park. Both places are in easy walking distance. WE went to New Plymouth Experience the lighting display at Pukekura Park. The Motel Unit we stayed in was a large 2 bedroom unit, very comfortable. The only fault we could find was that we had...

We came down from Whakatane with a group of 19 for the Rhododendron festival and stayed for two nights. Motel was great, plenty of room and clean. Wendy was a great hostess and very helpful. Will certainly stay here next time we are down that way.

I have now stayed at the Carrington Motel 3 times with my parents and have stayed in 3 different rooms. The place is affordable and close to town so is ideal for families on a budget as there is ample space for families. The place is a little dated and could do with some updating (the tvs are all new...

I have going there for about ten years and this time was not as good as it has been in the past, it is about time to replace the bed as it is now way too soft. They forgot to replace the coffee and milk the next day we were there. They now every did a great job on the...

As other reviewers have pointed out the noise of flushing toilets from other units can be heard, but for the dollars paid that is a minor drawback. The unit we had was close to the road, but New Plymouth traffic is not that heavy during the night. The motel is walking distance to town and Pukekura Park , as well...

As a frequent business traveller to New Plymouth, this is one of my favourite for few reasons: Value for money - I only paid $89 a night at the time and it had a queen bed and a single bed with eunsuit and cooking faciity. This is idea for small family with 1 child. the room is not cramped either....

This property is exceptionally tired. If you would like a room that is back in the 1970s this is the place for you. It was dirty, the dishcloth in the kitchen was actually black, and freezing cold, even with two heaters. There is a door at the back of the room that leads to housekeeping, they have a key not you,...
