Despite Rob being away and Gail being on call we were very well looked after. Kauri Point is out of town and very quiet at night, super after our room being moved the previous night n Rotorua because of noise. Nice quiet road to do a morning run. Loved the dogs, very friendly. Nice gardens. Recommended.

We had a short stay here during a tour of New Zealand. Kauri Point is a little way outside of Taupo and when we stayed, there was no option for evening meals, and although our host Rob offered to give us a lift into town, we arranged to eat in Taupo after our days out, before returning for the evening....

We stayed here as part of our recent tour of NZ. The accommodation is of a very high standard. Gail and Rob were very helpful and seem to have thought of pretty well everything! Rob's breakfast is very tasty. The property is about 10-15 mins drive from centre of town. We would highly recommend. Thank u for a wonderful stay.

We had an amazing stay! The location was perfect, just a 10 minute drive to Lake Taupo. Rob and Gail were fantastic hosts. They were very friendly and helpful when planning local activities, and they provided delicious food for breakfast and dinner. The room was superb. It was very homely, spacious and comfortable. As we were there in the winter,...

Wished we'd been able to stay more than one night. Secluded, well-appointed lodge about 10 minutes drive outside Taupo. Attentive yet unobtrusive host who treated us like guests in his own home. Welcome beer on the sun trap deck when we arrived and after he carried our bags in from the car. Great breakfast, especially the bacon and eggs! Recommended.

What a place. Spacious, great views, lots of outside sitting areas, well furnished and equipped. This bnb is about 10 minutes drive from Taupo in a lovely rural setting. It is set in extensive gardens with the added bonus of an outside hot tub which is a great spot from which to observe the night sky. Gail and Robert could...

Our bedroom was large as was the ensuite and nicely furnished. There is a shared coffee/tea making facility with small fridge in the corridor. Robert gave us a filling breakfast and each night a complementary glass of wine. What a beautifully modernised house Gail and Robert have. We were delighted to have seen this sunset over the Mountain on the...

Sadly only spent one night here but excellent hospitality from Gail and Robert. We were the only guests so it really was home from home! We stayed in Aratiatia room where tea and biscuits were served upon arrival, very welcome after a long drive. Jacuzzi in the beautiful gardens before dinner at a recommended restaurant.

Robert & Gail would love to welcome you to your "Luxury home when you are away from Home." You will arrive as guests and leave as friends having enjoyed being thoroughly spoiled from the moment you arrive. Stay as long as you can - Taupo has so much to offer you, and we are so close to other cities such as Rotorua and the Hawke's Bay - so unpack your bags for a few days and relax and really enjoy New Zealand at its best. Our suites are luxuriously appointed and all are en-suite and have deck access. Join us in the evening for a glass or two of wine, beer or a soft drink before you head into town for dinner (we will even drive you in). Alternatively, and by prior arrangement, we can prepare you a supper, one or 2 course dinner, platter or special occasion dinner.
