We had a 5 day booking in a King Room on the ground floor of Block7, this looked out onto the garden pond area (no unpleasant odours as reported by previous guests). Our stay was part during the Wanderlust yoga festival so all the rooms were booked out. At $180 per night, things could be better considering it s 4...

After sleeping in tents for a number of nights we stopped here. Enjoyed the pool. Ate at the restaurant for dinner and enjoyed a room service dessert. The beds were comfortable Shower over the bath was fine and had great water pressure We found the staff friendly and the place clean and tidy. Will stay again

I was curious after last staying here 43yrs ago if it was as prestigious now. A bit out dated and tired but overall comfortable with all required facilities at a good price. Would be good for large groups, a wide range of activities available.

I don't think they have changed anything in 20 yrs. The carpet is threadbare in places, so are the dinning room chairs, and the A/C unit in the rooms did nothing but make noise. Having said all that, I would stay here again. The rooms updated, clean (with nice linen) and a decent size. We had a small balcony and...

We stayed here for two nights and had a lovely suite in the main building, with separate kitchen/dining/comfy sofa and a nice bathroom. The rooms were clean, the bed comfortable and the air conditioning worked well even though it was hot outside and the sun was beating on our windows. We were part of a much larger group and a...

This was our second stay there. However for some reason everything just looked more tired. The room was basic - the bathroom was basic (shower in bath). There was a persistent smell in the bedroom which I suspect came from the pond outside (it smelt like urine). Probably not a good idea to be on the ground floor next to...

We stayed at the resort for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The staff were wonderful, the kids had fun, the room rates were reasonable, it was safe, very tidy and clean, there was two pools (heated), tennis courts, outdoor bar and all on large grounds that the kids could wonder around in and not get lost....

Nice and clean rooms. Quiet place for family vocation. Close to Taupo and several geothermal attractions. Was here several times. Last time stayed here on the way home from skiing at Mt. Ruapehu. Two swimming pools with geothermal water will help everyone to relax after skiing .

We enjoyed our recent two night stay at Wairakei Resort. The resort's facilities are very good and the grounds are large with plenty of parking. There is also a nine hole golf course to sharpen your game before playing the Wairakei International, which is a short drive down the road. We enjoyed the pool and spa. The restaurant was good...
