Four of us stayed in a family room at the front of the hotel. The room was very well appointed, with small kitchen, queen size bed in main room and two King singles in separate room. There was a deck with duel access from main room and bedroom, with beautiful views of the lake. Unfortunately Mt Ruahepau was not visible... More

Positive first: the location on Lake Taupo waterfront. Negatives: old and tired bedroom, totally unacceptable standards in the bathroom: old British-style two-tap sink (one for scorching, the other for freezing water), plastic (yes, plastic!) shower that manages to deliver scorching hot or freezing cold water despite having a mixer tap (seems impossible, huh?), no insulation (and Taupo, being on a... We booked 2 rooms for a weekend getaway for family that arrived from overseas. Rooms were neat and clean. We were not given the balcony / patio rooms as requested instead 2 rooms above reception, when I enquirers the check in lady said we should of got there earlier. the 2 bedroom unit was clean and good to suit. Beds excellent very comfortable. I dislike pump soap, never enough comes out. why only 1 mirror in a 3 bedroom one in the bathroom but not in any bedrooms? nice wine glasses but the water glasses were so small it was embarrassing. no real milk and only 9 little sachets,... 4 of us stayed here for a work meeting in Taupo and the top floor rooms overlooking the late were excellent. The hotel looks terribly dated from outside but the rooms were nicely furnished and comfortable. The weekday Tarif was excellent. We walked only 5 mins to a bar and town is a short stroll away. Wouldn't recommend the hotel... More

In April 2015 we stayed overnight at the Suncourt Motel. Since our earlier stay in 2010 the motel has been very nicely refurbished. I chose this motel mainly because of its location- its set back from the main road and has a wonderful view across a grassy area to Lake Taupo. Our room upstairs was very tastefully furnished, the lady... More

This is the first place that looked exactly what the Internet photo's portrayed! Good clean and tidy accommodation. The reception staff were extremely friendly, professional and accommodating. The bar manager Alex was very friendly and welcoming too. Great little touches you don't get at many places. Ie. Heat pump already on upon arrival so our room was beautiful and warm.... More

Nice hotel room with Great Lake front view! Well presented room however the bathroom is in need for some TLC... Room is rather quiet considering it on the waterfront, felt the TV should have been mounted on the wall rather than standing on the desk. Bed was nice and I had a great sleep! Toilet refill is rather loud, could... More

Studio unit with a comfortable bed, good heat pump and adequate facilities. The decor is dating a little and the shower could be cleaner. Thought all the hot water had been used as the shower only provides cold water, but rest assured, keep turning the dial almost as far as it goes and the heat arrives.

Stayed here on a family holiday and booked a 3 bedroom garden room for 1 night. The unit was lovely looked like it had recently been renovated, clean and upmarket!
