We arrived for a 2-night stay in a 1 bedroom apartment back in February 2017. We thought this hotel was one of the best we have ever stayed in and for such a reasonable price too given the good overall size of the apartment and the clean and modern facilities. The kitchen was well equipped and even included a small...

Only two blocks from Cuba Street where all the restaurants are and close to the wharf and several attractions. Reception staff friendly. We picked a Studio with city view. The view was of Mount Victoria Lookout facing east. First thing I noticed in the room was the pedestal fan. There was no air-conditioning. In the morning the sun warmed up...

This booking was of our own making having just spent 8 nights with organized accommodation as part of the Tour of NZ bike race. It was our last couple of nights treat. Scored the hotel as a freebie as a loyal customer of hotels.com. Had an 8th floor superior apartment and it was beautiful. Sea glimpses and a great view...

Hard to spot but easy to check in. A dirty lift took us up four floors to a low ceilinged corridor reminiscent of the industrial age. At least the landings were clean. Room had all that you would need for a night or longer stay but closer inspection you can notice the wear and tear. What really broke it was...

Count on a sleepless night. The room looked nice on arrival but was stuffy and there was no a/c. So we had to open the window onto the central Wellington streets. By the time we went to bed the nearby bar patrons were in full swing, shouting and drumming up to 2am. At 5am, a truck pulled up opposite to...

Thank you for your comments. The city can be lively if you are not used to it, however the advantage is you are very close to everything the city has to offer. Sorry that your stay was disturbed by noise. The rooms on the back of the hotel are much quieter . Kind regards Tony

The hotel is centrally located for all amenities, although this does mean you get some outside noise. This is made worse when you open the window to cool down the room as there is no aircon. Staff were friendly cheerful and efficient. The studio room we had on the fifth floor was a decent size, but badly organised. There was...

Thank you for your comments. For those looking for extra room the standard 1 bedroom apartments are good or the superior 1 bedroom apartments are much bigger. We are a bit limited on where things can be placed in the rooms due to the windows being opposite the beds. Thanks again. Tony

Was in Wellington for one night for a business trip and stayed at Distinction Wellington. The Hotel is well situated in the city with easy walking access to Cuba Street (one minute) and Te Papa/Lambton Quay/Waterfront (5-10 minutes). The front desk staff were very well mannered and very accommodating when it came to an early arrival. Happy to look after...

In looking at other reviews perhaps we would have enjoyed our stay here more if we were in an apartment. As it was, our room was a small studio with a view of the parking deck next door. The bathroom had only a shower head that was separated from the rest of the bathroom by only a shower curtain. When...
