This place (The Keep) is just so cool. Three floors with wonderful views of Cook Strait. Parking is a bit tight, and restaurants are not plentiful, but everything else is heavenly. Perhaps the neatest place we've ever stayed. Bruce provides very ample breakfast resources. It will always remain very special in our memories.

Oh my gosh. I can't express how much I loved this place! The walk to the lighthouse already had amazing views but when we got to the highest level of the lighthouse there was windows all around and it provided us a better and an even more amazing view of the beach and the islands nearby. It was definitely a...

From "don't worry about completing a complicated bank transfer, we'll sort it out when you get here" to "don't worry about getting in late, I'll leave the key under the mat" - this residence is manna from heaven from start to finish. The breakfast provisions were so extensive, we couldn't finish it in two days; fresh Tuberose filled the room...

We have stayed at both of these beautiful accommodations and loved every minute. The views are to die for and even though the Keep will always hold a special place in our heart, the Lighthouse's sitting room on the top floor is perfect for anytime of year. We always have the best sleep and the showers are wonderful. If you...

A lovely place for watching the sea birds dive and congregate on rocks far away as far-off in the distance aeroplanes line up to land in windy Wellington. Other reviewers have remarked that the lighthouse is for backpackers and we'd agree with that assessment. With refurbishment and a lick of paint this could be made more ship-shape and Bristol-fashioned. As...

We stayed for one night in the Lighthouse during our visit to New Zealand in January. I was really excited to be staying in a lighthouse and it lived up to my expectations. I was worried about the parking as I could see from the photos that there is a road between the sea and the lighthouse. In fact there...

We are SO thrilled that we stayed at The Keep. It was entirely unique, as narrow as it looks, yet spacious enough for 2 of us. When we arrived it was pouring rain -- but it was magical that way. The sound of the rain on the tin roof was beautiful. By the next day, the clouds had lifted and...

What a great little pad Perfect for our last night in Wellington and would love to have stayed longer. I highly recommend it as a get-away spot to chill out, watch the waves, boats, planes and birds. We loved it. Lots of walking and exploring up the City to Sea Track and along the foreshore. We didn't use it as...

We went for my husband's birthday! We loved it! The sound of the ocean, the unique accommodation, the planes passing the boats sailing by the beach walk it was a awesome experience. We recommend to everybody. The breakfast supplies very impressive. Even slept better than I do at home. Thank you Bruce for creating such a experience.
