Clean, bright, excellent showers and all round winner. Even the carpets in the dorms were nice! It felt new and really well fitted out. The staff were also lovely. Great location as well, really close to Te Papa (which everyone must see)

Excellent place to stay. Central, quiet, affordable. Grocery store across the road. Te Papa, waterfront, Cuba St/Courtenay Place, etc. For business, our company pays for an expensive hotel a couple blocks away... the YHA was much quieter than that one.

This hostel is a bit expensive, compared to the others. Although it offers everything you need. Clean beds, comfortable matrasses, super friendly staff. Rooms are quiet and came with a private bathroom. These were actually clean aswell.

I have stayed here a few times over the past two years now. I frequently visit Wellington, and whenever I need accommodation, I always book at the YHA. The staff are super friendly and the faculties are really modern for a hostel. No matter if you are in a shared room or a private room the beds are super comfortable...

Overall Summary: Great staff and location in Wellington, holds up very well during an earthquake, and two large kitchens plus usual YHA benefits. However can be a bit noisy and walls seem thin. Stayed: for 5 nights in early November Positives: Free UNLIMITED Wifi Decent sized rooms Has 2 lifts, so if you don't have a backpack or your bag...

This place is fantastic! It was the best of all the hostels I stayed in NZ. Clean, spacious room, easy access to kitchen, close to toilet, close to bus, great location. There were TWO kitchens! You could be a chef and do well in these kitchens.

We stayed here as a stop over for one night with the intention of getting the ferry to Picton following our stay in Wellington. The room was clean and comfy although the view was over the small internal courtyard but as we were on the top floor we still got a decent amount of light. There is free wifi and...

The hostel is neat, big and efficient. Close to supermarket (New World), harbour, restaurants, bus stop and city central with various attractions. The room is big for four people, has both air conditioning and heater, and the ensuite bathroom is adequate. There are shared bathrooms in the same level which is helpful during peak times. There are big lockers in...

Hey Chellemrc Thanks for your review. Yes we are dangerously close to the supermarket over the road especially when you love food as much as I do! Our location is also extremely handy for visiting all the local attractions which is a bonus. For the amount of people that we can house here at one time we’re certainly never short...

Stayed here 2 nights. Big and clean rooms. Clean showers/toilets. It has a game room, tv room, a big lounge and a reasonbaly sized kitchen. Great location, many points of interest can be explored on foot. Great staff too. Will definitely recommend this place.

Great stay in this hostel for 3 older travellers: ensuite, free WIFI all throughout the building to keep in touch with family, great views from the top floors and so close to everything in the city. The kitchens are huge and very well equiped - there were school groups staying while we were there and they were able to fit...

Hey Tracey M Thanks for your review. We work hard to offer good quality Wi-Fi! Being a long way from home can be tough sometimes so getting in touch with family efficiently is very important. It’s reassuring to hear that the space was divided well whilst we had our groups stay with us and it didn’t hinder your access to...
