Clean Sheets, uncomfortable beds, curtains coming off rails in more than one room, dirty carpets, hole in the wall and no lampshades on wall lights in one bedroom, one room unable to shut door as bed in the way, howling gale coming through from missing door handle, cooker unfit for use due to greasy dirt and shower dirty round edge...

We stayed here due to lack of acomadation availability on our last 3 nights of our NZ holiday...I need ground floor access , everythibg else was steps no lifts ....Yes .whilst the motel is dated ( does need an upgrade) we found the staff to be exceedingly helpful in advising us where to find the main eateries and dealt effectively...

Quite possibly the worst place I've ever stayed in. The room was disgusting with what looked like pubic hair still in the shower. That itself was held together with silicon filler. When I complained, the lady at the reception desk all of a sudden couldn't speak English. Don't even consider this place. Pay $50 more and stay somewhere decent.

Not sure what the other rooms are like, but the group of 8 i was with stayed on the very top floor and it contained everything we required for a couple of nights. Sure, the carpet is 80's, the decour is 80's but the place was pleasant, with decent views, windows that opened, and a functional kitchen. Beds weren't brilliant,...

Arrived and found parking quite limited. Reception was reasonable a little confusion we were a sports group 2 teams of 7. The rooms were adequate but a little bit tired. The location is right in clubs, pubs and restaurant area. There is a lot of traffic and people noise from outside. A good place for a bed.

Would never recommend this place to anyone. The rooms are filthy, i found a used condom beside the bedside table. Its cold, noisy and the heater doesn't work. The shower was broken when i arrived, asked them to fix it and they taped it to the wall. Not ideal when it gets wet... i would rather sleep in my car...

We'd already seen the reviews on-line, but we'd booked the Motor Inn (last June actually!) at a time when the City was going to be choc-a-block, and many Motels/Hotels had either blocked out their rooms, or couldn't offer us enough nights (we wanted 5 nights). First impressions count - so they say, and sadly our first impressions were not good....

We booked online and on arrival, the outside is very run down, the front windows showed a chinese family eating and playing, not a good look for a hotel. The rooms were small but adequate for our needs. The location was poor and we could hear the cars driving all night. It was also a bit hard to find. The...

First appearances left much to be desired & unfortunately so did the room we occupied, it was outdated, dusty, extremely hot & very cramped, not meant for 3 people. The sign displayed stated there was a licenced restaurant on the premises but there wasn't one! luckily we were close to eateries. Customer service was very poor. I asked for a...

Room was clean but no written info about house rules etc and when we asked about them the reception seemed surprised we would want to know. Breakfast no longer being served. If we had known that we would have gone elsewhere. Parking very tight. But, is close to many eateries in Cuba Street and the staff are helpful even if...
