The surly receptionist really soured my stay at this hotel and left a bad taste. Absurdly expensive for what you get. As a world traveller this hotel falls at the bottom of the pile. The room was clean and the bed comfortable but the poor...More

Hi Jack. I'm pretty sure it stops near the train station which is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. You can catch the bus which is very cheap to the train station from the airport then walk. very easy and cheap.
There is a bus stop 50 or 60 meters from the front door of the hotel. The Wellington railway station is less than 10 minutes walk. Te Papa is a 20 minute walk. We look forward to having you come and stay with... More

$30 a day valet parking, but we stayed across a weekend and mostly avoided this by leaving it on the metered parking in the street outside. This was free overnight, but did mean either feeding the meter by 9am or moving the car to avoid being fined. Across a holiday long weekend this worked fine for us. There's also a public car park right across the street with cheaper hourly and overnight rates. Ultimately it depends on how much hassle you are prepared to put up with to avoid the $30 fee.
