I stayed in Anna's cottage for a week. There was plenty of room and a nice covered porch. The hosts brought fresh eggs from their chickens each day--available only when they are laying! A highlight was the availability of mountain bikes for riding to the nearby wineries or just for exercise. They are in good shape and helmets/vests are also... More

We really enjoyed our three nights in the Stables having the privacy of being surrounded by neighbouring vineyards, the entertainment of watching the free range chickens, the small flock of sheep, the three deer and admiring all the lovely citrus trees. Our stay here was at the end of January and was three weeks in to an eight week holiday... More

As another contributor stated, this property is for sale. It is apparent that the owners have lost the motivation to keep the property as new. During our stay, the weather was good but we didn't dare go into the swimming pool as it didn't look inviting. We stayed at "The Stables" which is quite cosy with a nice view to... More

Thanks for your constructive feedback. I am pleased to report that now we have had some significant rain. Our region has had the worst summer draught for many years.and our grounds can now recover to their former glory. I totally agree with this reviewer, St Leonards does look tired at the moment. It is a difficult decision with our property,... More

We stayed in The Old Dairy for two nights and found it very comfortable, clean and a perfect option in the midst of the wineries. It made a lovely change from hotel accommodation and we appreciated the delicious breakfast supplies. Paul and Daphne were wonderful hosts and although the room is close to their house, we felt we had privacy.... More

We stayed in The Old Diary which is the smallest option onsite however was perfect for our one night stay. Bedroom studio with good kitchen and bathroom facilities. Clean and very charming! Breakfast was provided within the fridge and included bread, choice of jams, butter, milk, eggs. In addition there were tea and cereals. So dependent on breakfast preferences good... More

We stayed here ten years ago and loved it. We found it to be charming and full of character. This time we found it okay but slightly tired and in need of some TLC (the fact that the property is up for sale may be relevant). During our last stay we loved using the pool but this time the pool... More

St Leonard's was well located for the local vineyards and restaurants. The cottage was nice but in need of a bit of an update. Breakfast ingredients were supplied, which was nice as were the complimentary laundry facilities. Overall a good stay, with a couple of niggles.

We really enjoyed our stay at these cottages. It is located just a few minutes drive outside of town on an active farm. There are orchards and sheep on the grounds. The cottages are very comfortable and clean. The owners are quite friendly and helpful. I wish we could have stayed a bit longer. Highly recommended for a quiet retreat... More

Thank you Paul and Daphne for a beautiful stay! We loved the Stables accommodation, and your property is so serene and lovely. We especially loved meeting the chooks and the sheep - very fun! Excellent hosts, provided anything we needed (pain killers and laundry use included!). The perfect balance of privacy and service. One thing which wouldn't go astray is... More

We were a family of 7 staying in 2 cottages over 2 nights which included the Woolshed. The accommodations were wonderful with friendly and helpful hosts. The area was quiet and serene and surrounded by beautiful vineyards. All basic amenities are met with a fully equipped kitchen. The fridge was fully stocked with bread, fresh milk, orange juice, eggs, etc.The... More
