We stayed at the Lilac Rose as a family (all adults) so we booked all the rooms and really had the beautiful house to ourselves. It felt as though we had dropped in to stay with friends for the night as Pam and Dennis were absolutely wonderful company! The rooms were cosy and very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Our loft room was stunning, and the bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in, absolute heaven! Breakfast was just perfect, relaxed, great coffee, and amazing home...

This is a super B and B in Christchurch, 10 mins from the centre. It's a superb Edwardian Villa with lots of period charm. Pam and Dennis were excellent hosts , on arrival tea and cakes were served. Baking by Dennis. We stayed in the Garden Room which was a tad small but cosy. The bed was very comfortable and...

If you want to see the interior of a classic New Zealand wood-frame home, this B&B is for you. The owners, Pam and Denis, are friendly and helpful. They offer an excellent breakfast in their bright, charming, fascinatingly decorated day-room and adjoining kitchen, with a lovely view of a large and well tended garden. For dinner they recommended an Indian...

Delicious tea and cakes on arrival, extremely comfortable bed after our long flight and superb cooked breakfast, we couldn't have asked for more. Pam & Denis' home and garden is GORGEOUS! Tea, coffee & delicious homemade baking by Denis, were offered and served in the luxurious guest lounge as soon as we arrived. (Refreshments were also kindly extended to a visiting cousin, thank you so very much) Elegant furnishings & beautiful table settings in keeping with the period of this high ceiling house....

we only spent 1 night here instead of the 2 we expected because of a mix up with Booking.com. Pam was wonderful and helped us find another accommodation even though it was quite booked up in Christchurch. We had the attic room, small but comfortable with a nice private bathroom ( heated floors, etc) right next door. I was afraid...
