This is one of those beautiful grand houses in a perfect location, walking distance to the city centre. Clean, quiet, well appointed, with a good balance of furniture and functional space for belongings. Comfortable bed and pillows, and a relaxing shower. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. Unfortunately we only had one night in Christchurch.

Of many stays, must say that Julies Orari B&B is the warmest, friendliest place beside the perfectly hosted Horizon Hotel in Costa Rica. Julie manage Orari and welcome you with sparkling eyes and a big smile. Like Joav and Gali at the Horizon in Costa Rica, she is also a fixer for you, she recomended great food pleaces and the...

Such a good find. We had a beautiful room which was very comfortable on the ground floor. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The Orari is certainly well placed - so near to the centre of town and everything in walking distance. On arrival, the receptionist suggested we book an evening meal as tables get booked up. She booked us...

Given how torn apart Christchurch is right now, Orari B&B is in the best location in the center of town. We walked everywhere from here. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good and the rooms are comfortable.

I could write an essay about why you should stay at Orari. I won't. This is a very nice place in the heart of Christchurch. You will encouter very friendly and hospitable people. The rooms are good and the breakfast delicious. All with a personal and individual touch. We (2 adults and a 9 month old) really felt welcome.

Lovely colonial building, great location, beautiful room, very nice breakfast. Only thing that irked a little was the rather brisque attitude of one of the staff (the other lady was delightful, however). Maybe she was just having a bad morning. Anyway, assuming that was the exception, not the norm, one to recommend.

The location is excellent - can walk to everything easily. The room had no fridge or couch. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. We did enjoy a complimentary glass of wine in the lovely lounge in the evening. And the breakfast was excellent! We appreciated the off street parking, and the fact we could leave our car there...

We stayed twice at this historic and beautiful bed and breakfast. Although that hardly describes this lovely guesthouse. Built in 1893 the fixtures and furnishings are excellent with good sized rooms and facilities. Whilst traditional it is also modern with everything today's traveller requires. The house is well situated only a few minutes walk into Christchurch and close to a...

Very well situated close to the Centre. We had one of the superior rooms and it had 2 Queen size beds in it. The beds were very comfy. Once again a little more bathroom shelving would have been great - this seems to be an issue generally. There was a lovely continental breakfast and then a hot dish was offered....
