I stayed in the three bedroom apartment which was perfect for a family. We were 4 adults and two children. There is plenty of room and the enclosed yard outside the downstairs bedroom was perfect for our 3yr to play in and stay safe. The apartment was warm. There was every amenity we wanted including washing machine/dryer, excellent sized fridge/freezer...

The room was spacious, clean and a really comfortable bed. The location of the motel made it easy for us to walk to the down town area and see the sights as well as walking to a grocery store, restaurants and a mall. After a day of sightseeing, the jacuzzi tub was a really nice touch. The owners were very...

The Manor is a pleasure to stay at, a home away from him. It's thee most gorgeous and cleanest places to stay. The beds are super comfortable and you can even choose your type of pillow. I stay here every month and the hosts are amazing. Great dining close by. Easy free parking Best in Christchurch easily

I stayed 1 night at Merivale Manor before going to Mt. Cook. It was cold and rainy that day but the room was warm and very tidy. The kitchen was just amazing with everything you need. They provide complementary toast, tea, coffee so you don't have to go out shopping for breakfast. Only a 10 minute drive to town centre,...

This small hotel has been beautifully restored to create an intimate and luxurious experience for the Christchurch visitor. The reception is very friendly and the rooms are beautifully appointed with vast double beds and double showers. Breakfast is provided DIY- style, and is adequate. If you are visiting for a few days and are reasonably fit, the city. Enter is...

Location is good; near a shopping mall and close to the city centre. We stayed in the studio and it is just another motel, definitely not a manor. Room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The studio is near the busy Papanui Road, a bit noisy with passing traffic especially in the early hours.

Rooms are clean and big enough.Motel is located on a busy road so the units near the road will get a bit of road noise. Walking to cbd is do able but only just. Pub and another couple of restaurants nearby are ok. Older section has the character. Plenty of parking

I have stayed at Merivale Manor many times. It never disappoints. The rooms are tasteful, charming, very comfortable and clean. The old Manor House is beautifully restored. Service is outstanding from all staff with the owners/ managers going out of their way to ensure my comfort and enjoyment. I highly recommend to anyone visiting Christchurch.

Stayed at the Merivale Manor on a business trip last week. What a great location, walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Quite noisy as it is a busy road, but that is to be expected. Really nice rooms, comfy beds and provided with cereal and toast for breakfast, which was great. Lovely hosts, very enjoyable stay.

We loved the look of Merivale Manor from the we website and were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived Bridget and Brian were professional, friendly, knowledgable and helpful. They are keen to make sure their guests have a great time from start to finish. We were lucky enough to stay in the big house. It is elegant filled with...
