We stayed 3 nights in the Te Wepu suite for a family of four. A stunning heritage property maintained and decorated to the highest standard. Spotlessly clean, with little touches e.g. fresh flowers and chocolates on the pillow. Truly a home away from home with...More
We stayed at the Farr Suite and it was a lovely room with a decent view. The hosts were friendly and helpful. They gave good advice on local restaurants and things to do. They also let us use the house laundry free of charge. This...More
Stayed for 2 nights several days apart. On arrival for our first visit we were greeted by the owners and shown to a spar bungalow room alongside the entrance driveway. Were issued with our breakfast- 2 pieces of frozen bread, and 1 small bottle of...More
We stayed in the main building and were kindly offered an upgrade. The room was beautiful and well equipped, with every need catered for. Merivale provided us with a most comfortable 1 night stay following our flight from Hong Kong.
We stayed for one night in the Te Wepu suite and we wish we could have stayed longer! The ground floor suite was fantastic, and as two couples with a small child it was perfect, with two large separate bedrooms, both with en-suite and a...More

Hello, We supply a light continental starter for breakfast which includes bread for the toaster in your room (spreads in your fridge). There are small boxes of cereal in your room and we supply fresh milk daily at reception for that and your tea and coffee (also in your room) The bread has aGF variety as well as brown and white. Yes. However it is essentially continental and consisted of some very good homestyle bread for toast, butter, jam and coffee and milk. I am not sure but there may have been some fruit. The coffee was powdered with a counter electric water boiler and fresh whole milk. We were there only briefly because of the travel problems we encountered (6 hours sleep after 37 hours of travel) so it is a little bit of a blur. I definitely remember the bread being homestyle with lots of grains and delicious. The place it self is excellent. Good luck.
