We visited CHRISTCHURCH for 4 days for a conference in Oct, didn't know that CHRISTCHURCH is so short of accommodation during certain period that we booked an average hotel for over $200/ night for 2 of us, not only that we were told that they couldn't accommodate us as they over booked their room due to technical problem. Fortunate they...

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights including a weekend. The room was comfortable and we were given an extra heater for the room which was great. Unfortunately the walls are thin and we could hear the blaring tv and music of the neighbours room and their door opening and shutting. This may not seem unreasonable but we...

I stayed in this motel whilst on a road trip (motorcycling) recently - I was cold and wet and arrived into town rather later than I had anticipated so stopped in to see if they had a room - I was offered a room at the book price which I refused as it was late and I felt I could...

This is a good value motel with spacious, clean accommodation. Bealey Avenue is a main artery within the city and as such it is convenient but can be noisy during the night. Some rooms are better than others having been upgraded more recently

I had a pleasant enough stay on my 2 nights at Abbey Motor Lodge. There is some renovating going on so the place, at least from the outside isn't in tip top shape. But it's hardly enough to turn one off staying there. What matters most of course are the state of the rooms, and i found them to be...

We stayed here for two nights, as we had booked in advance. Had we known what to expect, we'd have stayed elsewhere. The staff was not knowledgeable on touristic attractions at all. The simply referred us to their brochures and gave us wifi access. Although this helped, it didn't get us too excited about our visit. The room itself had...

Don't stay here! We arrived at 7.30pm in winter to find the door of our room wide open so the room was freezing and the heater was difficult to use, the windows didn't shut well so a cold breeze was coming in all night- we didn't get warm until we were in bed. The room smelt awful and the bathroom...

Cheap for a reason but considering the poor condition of the building, it is still not cheap enough. The lack of maintenance shows in old surfaces being hard to clean. The quality of the building let in more noise than expected. Good staff and location.
