Easy to find, and located nicely in the centre of the city where everything is accessible, it was a relief to find this hostel in a city where everywhere else at a reasonable price seemed to be fully booked. Sure, it was about $40 per person per night, which I still think is overpriced for a dorm room, but by...

Felt like home, perfect location, close to the city center. Awesome living room with free access to computers. Good vibes. A bit noisy and cold in the room but we enjoyed our stay there. Helping and welcoming staff.

The guy at reception seems to really care, and knows the area well. We felt very welcome and looked after. The hostel is cozy, quirky and a great base for exploring the area. Rooms are basic, public areas clean and functional, parking is not an issue. Definitely an option for a visit in Dunedin.

Stayed there 4 nights in a bed dorm. You get a lot for your money - 26NZ$ and the staff was really nice and helpful. The kitchen was well-equipped and in the morning there was toast, jam and cereals and coffee and tea. The free internet was really good and there were also free computers available. It was just 5-10...

Cozy, very well spirited, quite rundown but charming hostel. The common room is perfect with loads of sofas, a fireplace, a tv with both cable and movies, computers to use and lots of tables. Kitchen is very well equipped for hostel standards and the rooms serve their purpose. The staff is super friendly and helpful :)

My wife and I booked as a single night stay based on limited availability in Dunedin (turns out we were passing through during the fringe festival) but unfortunately I must reflect the views of some of the less youthful travellers (though at 28, I might be stretching it a bit) Cleanliness generally not up to scratch in the bathrooms, young...

Nice place, very Close to The city center but i got a few major things to complain about. 1: our Room Was ice Cold and I think I got a cold and a huge headache. That sucks the last 3 days in nz. Why? Because the building is very old and the Window couldn't keep out the cold weather but...

I am surprised to read so many good reviews of this hostel as all four in our group agreed that it was the worst nights we had spent in all of our New Zealand hostels and motels. The rooms smelt very musty, no fresh air, the beds VERY basic and sheets didn't feel clean. The staff were all very friendly...
