We enjoyed a 2 night stay at the Garden Retreat. Definitely a garden where flora and fauna abound that attract NZ birds.Their songs are a delight and add much to the Retreat experience. Anna was generous with vegetables from her garden for our dinner salad and fresh eggs for the morning breakfast along with homemade bread and jelly. The accommodation...

Lovely modern accomodation nestled in the trees with awesome views of the inlet, especially from the shower! We had our one night honeymoon here and it was so relaxing,we really appreciated the tranquility. Going up harbour cone the next morning to soak in more of the views was invigorating,Peter was great and provided us with plenty of coffee, homemade jams and good...

We spent two weeks traveling in New Zealand and this was probably the best spot we stayed (and we loved our whole trip). It's such a gorgeous location with wonderful views, and the house itself is fresh, clean and has everything you need. The owners' garden is spectacular, and lovely to wander around. We hope to come back here for...

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend in beautiful surroundings. Warm and modern, with amazing deck areas to enjoy the garden, birdsong, native bush and stunning views. The shower with an opening onto the deck deserves a special mention. It's fantastic! The organic breakfast was perfect. The warm welcome and fond farewell bookended a brilliant weekend escape.

My partner and I have traveled nearly the entire country of New Zealand from North to South and back again and this is certainly one of our favorite places, if not our absolute favorite. The Otago Peninsula is spectacular with so many pristine beaches, beautiful walks and opportunities to see native wildlife. The Hereweka Garden retreat is in such a...

My husband and I loved staying at the Hereweka Retreat. The house has a gorgeous view over a valley with in the far bit the ocean and a bay. Additionally, you can shower with the window right open (without any watching you) and take in the nature. The B&B has a very comfortable bed upstairs with a sitting/dinning and kitchen...

What a treasure of a little cottage. So beautifully designed to bring the outside (gorgeous landscape and distant sea) in. Almost every window (there are many) slides open wide to the outdoors--my favorite being the wall of the shower that opens to create an inside/outside shower with a fabulous view. The cottage itself is open & airy and nicely furnished...

Isn't it great when accommodation on a much looked forward to holiday EXCEEDS expectations!? This beautiful little house has everything and more that is needed for true relaxation. The only problem is that you won't want to leave to do any sightseeing. I am still dreaming about the homemade bread, jams, eggs.... and the shower! We put the fire on...
