This little lodge is absolutely delightful. So much attention to detail is just amazing. The little extra thoughtful touches made a big difference. The lovely friendly proprietors keep it spick and span, This lovely home has its original features from 1906-19? I think? Absolutely fabulous building, not to everybody's taste, but wonderfully nostalgic, staying in this lodge was a fabulous experience,...

The Fletcher Lodge must be one of the best places to stay in Dunedin. An early 20th century house built for a wealthy family has been enlarged and converted into a beautiful lodge. Many of the fine historical features remain but the rooms and facilities provide for all modern expectations of luxury, comfort and convenience. Breakfast is a treat in...

The atmosphere was fabulous, the room divine, and the bed entrancing. Added to these "basic" comforts, were the historical authenticity of the lodge, but above all the warm and welcoming Ewa and Keith. One of the best things was meeting the other guests at a fabulous breakfast, but alas! we had to move on. Would recommend the stay to anybody,...

Ewa's extraordinary hospitality began even before we arrived! Driving from Christchurch, we encountered a long delay because of a traffic accident. We called to say that we would arrive late and Ewa thanked us profusely, then suggested that we have dinner at a friend's restaurant in a town near where we were!" Fletcher Lodge -- inside and out -- is...

I spent two nights at Fletcher Lodge and received an extremely warm welcome from a host who always had time to chat, however busy she might be. By choosing to use the guest lounge, I had a long chat with her about many things, aided by the odd glass of port. Helpful with advice and recommendations. The only downside of...

We had the pleasure of staying at Fletcher Lodge during a much too brief stay in Dunedin. Our rooms were great as was our breakfast the following morning. If you love historical buildings, extremely well kept, and architecture you'll love it. If you love a very comfortable setting and a gracious hostess you'll love it. And don't worry, our large...

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights and were impressed by this B & B. A historical building with period furniture, Ewa and Keith make every attempt to make you feel at home. Well appointed rooms, free wifi, laundry facility, car parking and located within a few minutes walk of Dunedin's main sights and the Octogen,...

The Fletcher House is outstanding on all counts: beautiful, comfortable rooms; modern en-suite baths; fabulous, helpful hosts; a delicious breakfast; lovely common rooms for relaxing and meeting other guests and close to the center of Dunedin with great restaurants and attractions. A couple notes on this historic, beautiful manor home in a wonderful location. First, it is halfway up a...
