Lovely historic home close to Octagon. We had the "flower room" upstairs with view over the city, very spacious with shared bathroom. Good breakfast downstairs with variety of cereals, yogurts, fruit salad, fresh fruit and selection of breads, split muffins and crumpets, spreads, coffee, tea, milo and daily newspaper, also free wifi and a computer in dining room. 2 friendly... Booked through Hotel.com no issues on arrival. Did not have to pay in advance only on arrival which was a major consideration when choosing this accommodation. Check in was friendly and efficient. No surcharges for using credit card. Reception walked us through all the facilities and to our rooms. Assigned us to our rooms as some were more expensive than... More

If you love the B&B experience then Hulmes Court is an excellent choice, the staff were very friendly and helpful and we loved the video tape collection! The only downside was the shower, there was literally no pressure and very little hot water. We do a lot of walking and hiking, so a nice hot shower at the end of... More

It is a very old house. And a lot of Travellers stay here. If u dun mind the old setting, the owner did keep the beds and room clean. Personally we like it but the room has a little misty smell from the carpet. The location is great and easily accessible. And they provide breakfast with toast, ham and fruits... More

Hulmes Court Bed and Breakfast is very quiet and clean. The tidy house has old-world style. They offer breakfast, computer and wifi. The location is near Octagon and Dunedin train station. You should live here and enjoy this country.

Location amazing. Staff fantastic. Cats friendly. Breakfast substantial. Room lovely. We stayed in the Victorian room and it was full of charm and old world features. Would stay again without a doubt.

This place is much more like a hostel than a B&B. The people who run it are lovely and very helpful, but the building and the rooms desperately need attention. Everything is a bit tatty and low grade, but apparently clean. I wouldn't stay again, I like a rather higher level of comfort. Oh, and wifi is very elusive.

Excellent B&B. Delightful old world decor. Helpful friendly staff. Great views over the city. Handy to the city centre. Typical climb up fairly steep streets to get to B&B but well worth the short walk for sucb a great venue.

If you want a quaint, homely feel B&B this is a great find, we had an enSuite room with spa bath, which was lovely. The street was very quiet, and walking distance to octogan and centre of town. Breakfast was cereals, fruit, bread and yogurts, good range and plenty of food. We loved th mix and match vintage furniture and... More

We had a great overnight stay here. Lovely old house with lots of character, very warm and quiet. We chose a shared bathroom but no-one else seemed to use it. The breakfast was brilliant, self serve and everything we wanted. Very friendly staff.
