Don't be put off by the entrance way! This is a lovely little campground and ideal for tents, campervans and motorhomes.. It is very reasonably priced, close to town. very clean and great amenities. The showers are operated on a key pad system and the hot water last 7.5 minutes.

There's nothing too special about this campsite in terms of view or bonuses, but it is close to good restaurants in Invercargill and is clean and quiet. Fine bathrooms and common areas. We paid $37 for two in a powered campervan site and took advantage of free internet.

The campground itself was fine and I have no complaints with the amenities. However, unfortunately this campground is in a residential area and backs on to noisy neighbors. The night we stayed there one of the neighbors had a very loud party which went on into the wee hours and made sleep very difficult. They must not have a noise...

Stayed here for three nights in a campervan. Had a great end site to reverse into and the gravel pad was relatively level. The welcome from the owners was friendly and professional. Thoroughly went over the accommodation and facilities and ensured we knew how to use the access codes given for after hours door entry and hot water for showers....

Overall this campground was pretty good with it being close to the city it is in an ideal location and with it being quite small no matter where you are in the campground you are close to the amenities. However if you can help it try to avoid site 23 if you only have a tent. The guy beside us...

we stayed just a night here but can report that this was right up there for a top camping ground. The central location was great, the owners are so pleasant, very friendly and helpful. The amenities were dated but spotlessly clean and the kitchen was the best equipped of all the campsites we visited in out three week We had...

We stayed here in a camper. The service was super friendly and helpful and the grounds close enough to town. The kitchen facilities were amazing and the toilets and toilets and showers were the cleanest I've ever seen. I highly recommend this place!!

Located behind a church, the grounds are well laid out, gravel van pads. Kitchen and TV room combined with good cooking with all pots, pans, crockery available. Showers have a complicated hot water system, but free. Very close to King fish and chips.

Great to be able to park the motorhome and walk to town for a meal! Owner was great at pointing out attractions - and Queen's Park is an awesome walk! Amenities are clean. The timed showers are perfect! Hot and eco-friendly. Beautifully set up kitchen / lounge and nice little touches like clean tea towels, brushes and cleaning equipment at...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Quiet well-maintained park easy 800m walk into the city. Powered and unpowered sites. Quality bedroom units with bedding, TV, heater etc, 2 with ensuites and 2 without bedding for the more budget conscious travellers. High pressure showers, very well equipped kitchen-dining-lounge area, laundry, free Wifi voucher. Three things our guests regularly comment are how much they enjoy being able to park-up and stroll into the city, the very high standard of cleanliness and how very comfortable and relaxed they feel staying with us. We really are en route to everywhere! Just metres from the Southern Scenic Route - east to the Catlins & west to Fiordland, State Highway 1 - north to Dunedin & and south to Bluff and the Stewart Island ferry terminal, and just a few blocks from the city centre. Come check us out. We look forward to welcoming you! ... more   less

“If you are older and own a campervan, and only tend to stay 1 or 2 nights, then this will be ok. Dont expect a real camping experience of fun and laughter playing cars at night, you will only be told to be quiet and go to bed at 10.30pm. Its a real shame.”
