Amity is not downtown or over the water, but you can walk, downtown in 10 minutes and the bus stop is 3 minutes away. We didn't have to use the car once when we were here. The room was nice and service was good.

Our fourth stay at Amity and we shall go again - always ask for the older block as the rooms are spacious and well appointed and catch the afternoon and evening sun perfectly. We were not bothered by the building works - which are a temporarry inconvenience anyway. Our UK visitors were very pleased with the set up. Price is...

Clean and tidy with very friendly / helpful reception. Only a 5 min walk into the centre of Queenstown but located just away from the centre to make it lovely and quiet at night. A very enjoyable 4 days spent in Queenstown. Shame about the building works next door although it didn't both us and is not he Motel's fault.

The price seemed quite reasonable for a two bedroomed unit with a kitchenette in Queenstown, especially given all the glowing reviews. After staying here I simply don't understand why this place has such a high rating. The good aspects - decent location, comfortable beds and pillows - were outweighed by the drawbacks - noisy construction site next door, tiny shabby...

Surprised this motel rates so highly. It is clean, comfortable, and tidy, if a bit dated. The proprietors are friendly and helpful but there is nothing special about it. We ended up here mainly as it's central and an easy walk to town (coming back less so given the hill....) and it was also very reasonably priced by Queenstown standards....

We spent 8 days here and would recommend to anyone who needs a place with good amount of space. Nice well equipped kitchen (although we didn't use much of!). Separate bedroom with comfortable bed. Large bathroom with plenty of vanity space to spread all your things out on. A 5 min walk to downtown, and on a quiet street. Great...

Our initial reaction was somewhat soured by the horrified look on Jo's face when we said we would be cooking our own meals. We were then regaled with a list of banned foods including fish, curry, and anything spicy or smelly, and the comment that she,Jo, could not understand people who go on holiday and cook for themselves. OK, but why then provide...

We do ask people not to cook fish or curries in the apartments as these smells are extremely difficult to expel and we have to think about the next guests coming in to the Unit. We have had bad experiences in the past where we have not been able to re-let a Unit for 5 days as the smell of...

Doug and Jo were very accommodating and made us feel welcome from the start. They held our luggage while we went on another excursion for 10 days. The hotel is very clean and quiet - and offers spectacular views from the deck!! We watched hang-gliders from the nearby mountain, and spectacular sunsets. A large living room with kitchen and bedroom...

Good sized rooms, comfortable beds, kitchenette stocked with all the essentials, free wifi and sky television. Bit of a walk up a steep hill, but I like the exercise after consuming excess calories while on holidays. The owners are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this motel!
