This was the best hostel I stayed at in NZ. We booked a private double and it was fantastic - spacious room with a large balcony. Our friend said the dorms were really good too. The hostel offers free unlimited wifi (unusual in NZ) which worked really well. There are three different kitchens to choose from and multiple bathrooms. Location...

I really liked staying here, the staff were really friendly and helpful, the common area was always full of fun people to hang out with and the place was neat and clean. I wish I could stay longer but they are always full, so book in advance!

I love the Flaming Kiwi! I will be recommending it to all of my friends in the future. It is so clean, the beds are comfortable, there are 3 kitchens and a really nice living area, and there is free unlimited wifi. The most incredible part to me: every bed has 2 outlets, 2 USB ports, and a small lamp...

Flaming Kiwi Backpackers is in my opinion a quite good hostel. It's a bit a older accomodation, but you can barrow cool stuff just for free. Furthermore, if you have got your own car, you could park it here free. Dorms are good to sleep where everyone could charge their phone easily.

I spent a couple nights in a mixed 8 bed room with an ensuite bathroom. The room and bathroom were clean and well maintained. The wifi was some of the fastest I experienced in New Zealand. And it's free & unlimited. The location was about a 5 min walk from the city center, and since Queenstown is small that means...

I have been in the 'Flaming Kiwi' for seven nights and later another night and it is the best Hostel I have stayed in New Zealand my entire trip! Everything is clean, spacious rooms, friendly and open staff, very good location and free stuff! I really enjoyed my stay there, probably also because I met nice people there. One of...

The hostel is located an easy walk out of town meaning that it is a little quieter but still totally accessible. We had a private room which was clean. Felt a little self-conscious to get to the bathrooms and showers as these were accessed through the communal area and kitchen. One bathroom also houses the laundry facilities. The dryer was...

I had a really great stay at Flaming Kiwi, I was only there for 2 nights but felt quite at home by the end of my stay! The staff were super friendly and gave me fantastic advice on Queenstown must do's & local restaurants. Can't fault cleanliness at all, they have managed to keep it perfectly clean and tidy, but...
