Great location, close walk to town! Very helpful and friendly staff, they had great information about the area, took their time to show me around the hostel as well. Clean and comfortable, friendly and affordable! Definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area!

Ideal location, 2 mins from a supermarket and 5 min walk from town (so quiet enough to sleep). Good facilities. Great staff. Free wifi. Free bike hire. Free frisbees for frisbee golf. Would certainly stay again. The layout of the hostel also made it easy to meet people. We were only there for a few days but went on a...

I stayed in this hostel when I fist travelled to New Zealand and was created by very friendly reception staff. More than welcome to help with booking trips or pointing you in the right direction at any time of day. Hostel was clean with three kitchens which is plenty for the size of the hostel (which is fairly small so...

Really nice, friendly and helpful staff. Had single room. Basic but all you need. Good kitchens with all utensils you might need ( except microwave which was so high could only just reach it) some shower rooms more basic than others but all worked. Centrally based - 2 mins from deli and supermarket and just 5 mins walk to town....

Great friendly hostel! I lived at The Flaming Kiwi for three months and I had a great time. Lovely atmosphere throughout the hostel and it felt like my home away from home. Fabulous location, less than a five minute walk into town. Scenic views from the hostel. I highly recommend The Kiwi!

I stayed at the flaming kiwi backpackers and at first I was expecting a quite/ boring backpackers... but was pleasantly surprised. I arrived on the New Years Day and I was welcomed and shown around by the happy English lad who was in great spirits. It was a shame that I was so tired but he made it easy for...

Great spot in Queenstown, very friendly place and great staff! Nice little added extras like the free bikes and the frisbees. Wifi could always do with a little improvement but in the slow evening hours was good to actually chat to some people instead of stuck on my phone. Would go back in a flash...

I've travelled a good bit and the flaming kiwi is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Very welcoming, friendly and cozy place to be, great facilities, 5 mins from town and a good group of people. I'm actually still living in Queenstown and the first place I recommend to anyone I know coming to town is here....
