Well finally it was time for a stay away once more yay! This new hotel in Queenstown is in a great location and opened in July 2020. So due to COVID its still very new. Car parking is good at $25 per night but in the summer months there is plenty of street parking but for the winter you'd want to get the car in the underground car park for sure. Breakfast is very good -- good selection and it rates each day as well and always fresh -- its the standard style for e Holiday In Express but very good considering its in your room rate. We have a King Mountain view room and it was fine and a good view and very quiet as well. Security at the hotel is good and lots of card access but thats good. Sadly we did have a few issues 1/ the first night we went to shower and there was no towels in the room at all -- rang front desk and we did get them in five mins of calling 2/ second night the glasses we had used were still dirty and not washed from housekeeping 3/ the in room supplies of coffee and tea were not replaced and hence we had none Small things but it was a bit of a hassle and sad really

Loved this hotel for a six night stay, which lived up to previous reviews. The staff were great, rooms are modern style, well equipped with 240 volt power points and USB points to charge your gadgets. The breakfast was great with a number of hot and cold choices. The Great Room, which is great, is used for breakfast and for the rest of the day is used for relaxing and to eat and drink by the fire. The front desk doubles as the bar and the place to order food. The same staff provide all the services in the Great Room. The Great Room, makes this a standout from all the other Holiday Inn Express hotels we have been to. The parking is secure under cover beyond a room key operated gate. Access to the hotel is through a secure internal door. A very well thought out design that would be especially good in winter. The rooms aren't the biggest we have experienced at Holiday Inn Express hotels and I found the bed a bit firm, but even so, overall I would say it is the best Holiday Inn Express we have stayed at whether in Australia, USA or Europe/UK. The location is close to town, and while the hill up is quite steep when walking, Queenstown has a very good and frequent bus service that goes past the hotel. Make sure you buy a Bee Card to use the bus because then the fare anywhere is only $2 and not $4, and if you have a NZ seniors SuperGold Card, you can link it to the Bee Card and have free travel 9am-3pm and after 6.30pm and all day on the weekends. I definitely recommend this hotel.

We were a group of 23 golfers staying 5 nights. What a wonderful hotel! We could find absolutely no fault. Kylie and her wonderful team went beyond the usual. They were so friendly and willing to help. The rooms were divine - so very comfortable. The vast amounts of food and drinks we consumed were delicious. Thank you for being such a big part in making this trip wonderful

We stay at a lot of hotels with our jobs, and I have to say this was one of the best experiences. The staff was so amazing and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. You could tell that everyone there loved their job and belonged in the hospitality industry. This is the way all hotels should be. The rooms were beautiful and clean, with nice views. The breakfast was good, and we also enjoyed the small gym and sauna. We had our 2 year old daughter with us and the staff was very friendly and sweet to her. Highly recommend this place when visiting Queenstown. We will be staying there again for sure.

Had a great stay at this hotel. Clean, well managed, plentiful breakfasts. One highlight in particular was one of the staff members. Ruby was a great source of help and information, a real gem. Make sure you keep her, she is good. I would have given it 5 stars but for the fee they wanted for parking on site - $25 per night for parking is ridiculous sorry. There was parking in the adjacent roads but none the less... And no sky tv, although this seems to becoming the norm.
