Normally not very fussy . I wanted to spoil my husband for his birthday this place looked amazing in the pictures. We stayed in the river view room and it was well worth it. The view was amazing, the staff were lovely. The spa and pool were super relaxing after our days snowboarding. Only thing that was annoying was we booked a double room and it was two twins pushed together. They were very uncomfortable.

we had stayed in the hotel for just one night...but definitely left a good impression. the hotel has an old world charm, quaint and out of the hustle bustle of the main town. the rooms were nice and large, the staff warm. the food was very good too. highly recommend to people looking at a cozy romantic stay.

This hotel is the Grand Lady of the Shotover River. The views from rooms on the River side of the hotel are spectacular especially in autumn. However the decor is in need of serious updating. Located at Arthur's Point about 5 miles from downtown Queenstown this place is a jewel!.
