Without a doubt, the biggest let down of our trip. This hotel is 100% awful and please please don't waste your money here. NO AIR CONDITIONING!!!! No air at all! No, Queenstown doesn't need aircon, but the rooms are unbearably stuffy, no air movement at all. You can leave the window open all night, but don't expect sleep with the...

Very old and tired, great photo's on website of renovated lobby, but that was all. Rooms very out-dated, but still costing premium price. Shower over bath, really? Dirty mouldy curtain, and very below par bathroom. Our fridge could not even make ice and chugged all through the night. We reported this three times, nothing, just lip service.

Like many other reviews, I found this hotel to be a very strange combination. The location is great, the views are great, and the outside is beautiful. There's also a great breakfast buffet if you're ok with paying the $34 NZD. The problem is that the internal hallways are old and the carpet is quite dingy and aged. The room...

Cannot fault the staff in assisting my wife who sustained a broken leg on day one of our trip. There was all sorts of items provided from wheel chairs to bath boards, towelling & good will to make our stay bearable. Thank god for the restaurant still being open (under renovations) as we did not miss the culinary delights of...

Good location ... within walking distance to shops and cafes and lake. The hotel llobby is very contemporary and looks newly renovated. The room was very comfortable and spacious with big windows overlooking the lake.

As a frequent customer of Rydges hotels I found myself very disappointed during and after my stay. On arrival poor staff, terrible musky smell through out hotel, lifts did not work and only worked a few times during the time of our stay. Room was average for the price we paid. The bathroom was so out dated it reminded me...

What a major let down. I don't think I can use bad language so I will be as restrained as I can. Overrated, Overpriced and Very Poor Service. On arrival they stuffed up our bookings and couldn't care less and offered no reasonable alternative or compensation, staff on desk had a couldn't care less attitude as none were Kiwis and...

Stayed at hotel for three nights. Room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful in booking places to go around Queenstown. The dinner at the hotel was delicious. The view from the room of the lake was outstanding. Be sure to take in a cruise on the lake

We had a wonderful view of the lake from our balcony. Our room was plenty nice, with a teapot, and lots of packets of tea and cocoa (Tea came in handy since we came down with a nasty virus and spent the day in bed, drinking tea). The location is convenient to attractions in town, and the staff was very...
