We had a lovely room with a fantastic lake side view. Perfect for walking into the centre of beautiful Queenstown and the lake side restaurants. Take time to take the elevator to the refurbished lake view restaurant it is stunning and one of the nicest breakfasts ever with a view you will never forget and food to match absolutely wonderful...

Very disappointed to say the least. I had my brother and partner here in Queenstown - and we had booked at what we thought would be a really nice reputable hotel - the reception area certainly looked the part. We had booked a "superior suite" for quite a hefty price tag - $380, and to our dismay we were given...

Rydges is about a three minute walk to the main part of Queenstown so just out of the noise zone, our room had great views of the Remarkables. The views from the restaurant are breathtaking, glass surrounding the whole area so no matter where you sit, the view is good.

Beautiful view over the lake. You can watch the water sports from the restaurant and your room. Innovative way meals are prepared. Kind of interactive eating! Special mention re Shane, Nathan, Antonella, Gethin. These guys want you to enjoy your experience here. Can't wait to come back again soon. 😃

Don't let the facade of the hotel fool you. This place is a dump! Upon checking in, I was given my room key, with no offer to help with my bags. As I walked the dark, musty hallway to my room on the 4th floor, I became more and more wary as the carpet was stained and actually had visible...

Stayed here for one night prior to a business meeting. It was comfortable, I slept well, and the breakfast was fine. However for the price I was paying I expected a little more. The carpet in my room was threadbare. The main stairs were out of action as was one of the two lifts. Uninspiring toiletries, poor flush on the...

I was really looking forward to staying here on the last night of our trip. The location is great and loved the view of the lake. Unfortunately the place needs renovating. The beds are very old and sag to the floor in the middle, also the fan in the bathroom was broken and I was expecting to be able to...

First night of our holiday - arrived from Sydney for 1 night in Queenstown on the way to Central Otago Rail Trail. Loved the french chateau style of the exterior, and the fresh modern interior. Booked last minute - paid NZD 292 for a Deluxe Lakeview Twin for me, my husband and my 11 year old daughter 15/12/2016. Expectations were...

Stayed before and after our Trek. Great lobby, great restaurant but all the other floors and rooms are very shabby and need renovation. Our bathroom fan didn't work, bathroom joins coming apart . I reported it to the staff at front desk but they were very ho hum about it. They acknowledge the place needs a big overhaul. For the...

Extremely disappointed in this hotel. Where do I start! Paid $300 per night for "lake view" instead we were put on "ground floor" with zero view of the lake, just road, car and trees. NO parking available at any time of the day) there is like 20 parks for the 100 rooms. Bathroom had green mouldy shower head, black mould...
