Really nice, quiet hostel in Queenstown with only 7 rooms. 10 min walk to the citycenter and 20min to the super market fresh choice. 2 mins to the beach. Have breakfast on the balcony with the best lake view and watch the boats go out in the morning or sit inside in the lounge and relax. Nicest manager on my...

We stayed for one night on a Saturday at Butterfli Lodge. We had a double room at the back of the house, overlooking the lake - stunning! You would normally pay a lot of money for a view like that, so we were very happy. The lodge itself was fine - probably just your typical backpackers place, nothing special. The...

We stayed two nights at the Butterfli Lodge, booked a private room which even had a sea view. It was very quiet in whole Queenstown, something we really enjoyed! We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The only thing I can imagine people would complain about was the location of the room, it was exactly under the lounge and kitchen (so a...

Very disappointing stay and struggle to understand how Butterfli Lodge scores 81% with BBH. Disinterested and unhelpful manager. Asked for payment in cash only on arrival with sign saying 'no refunds'. Tiny, fairly unhygienic kitchen with only one sink and very limited appliances. Two fridges, unclean and unpleasant smelling. Very limited lounge area taken over by long stayers watching films...

We needed accommodation in Queenstown and butterfli lodge was available with a twin room. Upon arriving we were asked for money in cash which is odd. The kitchen was filthy and the manager smoked on the communal deck (which I personally detest). Bedrooms and toilets relatively clean thus the two stars. If desperate it's a good price, not up to...

We didn't like staying here - the only redeeming features were the brilliant view from the wooden balcony, and the hot powerful showers. Our double room was clean and nice, though quite small, and the staff were friendly and reasonably helpful... On the downside, the kitchen is generally filthy, with food mess all over the surfaces and dirty crockery filling...

In the BBH folder this hostel got a 81%. So we expected a good hostel. Unfortunately this was not the case. We slept in our own tent so can´t say anything about the rooms. But we used the kitchen, living room and ‘’free wifi’’. Free wifi is written in the folder but what you get is 100 mb wifi. And...

It's actually pretty alright. The place looks a bit old, especially the bathroom but it's comfortable enough. The beds are a bit stiff though. Quieter than most other places as it's 10 min away from the center. The view is better then, obviously, right to the lake. There are better hostels for the same price, but this one is pretty...

This was the last place my girlfriend and I stayed during our trip to Queenstown. It's a little further out of town but still only a 10 minute walk down the hill. It is a very quiet and quaint little backpackers, there are not enough rooms for it to be too noisy or over-crowded. We were only meant to stay...

Nice rooms, very clean and tidy. Kitchen was well equipped, bit crowded at peak times. Loved the amazing views. Atmosphere wasn't super friendly among the other guests, but were happy with each others company.
