Wonderful one night stay in this boutique B&B, Ray was a fabulous host. Everything you could want for in the rooms and homemade biscuits and chocolate fish a real treat. Bed so comfortable and the room had lots of character. Slightly dated bathroom but having a bath was a treat, would be great after a day on the slopes. Will be a great place to stay during ski season! The proximity to the town centre such a bonus. The continental breakfast was outstanding, so much choice. Definitely recommend people to stay here.

The location of the hotel is just perfect - away from the noise and bustle, but a short walk (max 5 mins) to the town centre, partly via a private walkway. Plus, the views from the elevated position are stunning. Added to that, the hospitality from Peter-Ray was just incredible, and it was like staying with a good friend. So helpful and accommodating. The accommodation is very comfortable with all amenities required and the continental breakfast was great. This is not a "glitzy" hotel like some of the larger chains, it has that "homely" feeling which we like when travelling.

One of the more disappointing stays we had in NZ. The manager we found to be officious, and not particularly helpful. Breakfast was a communal affair, with no option of a cooked meal. The room was basic, with few amenities. As I said - disappointing: nothing at all "boutique" about this place.

I have written many reviews but have never struggled so much to find something positive. It is very convenient for the town. Misrepresentation of cooked breakfast which is non existent and has been an issue for some 2 years looking back at previous reviews. Though comfortable, it is generally tired and I would find it difficult to justify the price even though Queenstown is one of the most expensive areas in New Zealand. I like other reviewers certainly wouldn’t describe it as boutique. In summary it is conveniently situated and adequate

Actually it is located just a block or so from the edge of the restaurant/shopping area, all within walking distance via a private walkway. Beautiful back patio setting, excellent breakfast, lovely rooms with great view of the city. Owner/manager Peter-Ray Moroney made us welcome, even when we showed up early. And he offers free concierge services, a great boon when one is new to town! A great place, not a cookie-cutter motel!
