Perfect position a few minutes walk from the lake and from the gondola. Donald cooks mean breakfast and lots of useful information from Jillian. Slept like a log in the superb bed. The views from the room are superb.

Jillian and Donald are fine hosts, they helped us select and book several sightseeing trips. The hotel is very well maintained and the breakfasts excellent. It is a great place to stay in the center of Queenstown.

This boutique hotel was all that we imagined and more. Charming inside and out with a wonderful view of Queenstown, the mountains and water! The hosts were delightful and very helpful with dinner recommendations and reservations as it was a busy season. Lovely breakfast and accommodations. The location is ideal as it is within easy walking distance to town. (...

We stayed four nights at this charming boutique hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious including a balcony which captures a beautiful view of Queenstown and the surrounding mountains. Whether first thing in the morning or at dusk, the view was outstanding. Donald and Gillian are such warm and friendly hosts. We stored our luggage with them for two...

My wife and I visited over the Christmas season. We look for a wow factor and we got it when we saw the view from our room. We could easily see Queenstown and the surrounding mountains. The room was very clean. The bed was one of the best we had on our trip and the pillows were great too. The...

This 10 room boutique private hotel is simply superb! Gillian and Donald McDonald are wonderful hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are spotlessly clean, beds very comfortable and home cooked breakfast delicious! Cannot fault! Highly recommended!

We were pleased with our stay at the hotel. This was the first place we stayed out of four during our trip to New Zealand, and I found myself comparing this hotel to the others which left the others lacking. The hosts were very helpful, if you needed anything you simply need to ask. Our stay in Queenstown was very...

Very warm, friendly reception from Don and Gillian. Fantastic room with wonderful views, very comfortable and had everything we could wish for. Great shower and good strong internet. Don cooks a delicious breakfast with a good choice. There is a short walk to rhe centre of town, they are on a hill but it is not a long or strenuous...

Gilly, thanks for your kind review but we have to admit that it is not Donald who cooks, it's Gillian! Never mind, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us.

Very friendly, clean and helpful. Great location near the centre of Queenstown, but far enough away to be quiet. Lovely peaceful garden to sit in and good sized room. Breakfast was a gourmet feast with a different 'special' everyday.

This hotel was very good - the room (9) was beautiful - spacious, well appointed, quiet, super views. It's proximity to QT centre thru the hotel cut-through was good. I haven't given it full marks as the parking lets it down - my guess it tightly fits 4 cars and has 10-ish bedrooms. The owner v kindly parked my car...
