Caroll and Reg (and terrier Duffy and lamb Mollie) gave us a warm welcome and stay. CVBnB is about 10 to 15 minutes outside of town. This was nice since town can have a LOT of tourists. The view of the valley north of Queenstown looking toward Arrowtown is beautiful in the autumn when the trees are turning colors. Our... More

We had a wonderful country stay in Caroll and Reg's home. They couldn't have been more nice to us. We were travelling with a young 2 year old and Caroll took out her grandchildren's toys for her to play which was much appreciated. The cute animals such as the terrier, sheep and alpaca at the home were all really fun... More

We visited in July of 2011 so I'm embarrassed it took so long to do this review! We stayed in many wonderful places in New Zealand, but this place is very near and dear to our hearts. We truly did not want to leave. We were made to feel like family. It was awesome talking with the owners who were... More

We arrived to a warm welcome from Caroll and a plate of nibbles that were very welcome as we had not had lunch. It was lovely sat in the sunshine in their beautiful garden. The atmosphere was friendly and homey and Caroll went out of her way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Reg was very friendly too... More

About 10 mins drive away from the centre of Queenstown. Beautiful mountain view can be seen from the balcony and 2 energetic pet dogs love to play with guests. There are cooked breakfast on top of the usual muesli. It was pretty unfortunate during our stay that the shower in our room broke down and one of the lights were... More

We stayed two nights here - our first in New Zealand. It was a relaxing, peaceful place to be after our journey. Caroll offered us coffee/tea upon our arrival and we sat outside to chat before unpacking. Reg also joined us and we had a nice conversation for a while. We had the large bedroom on the left at the... More

Every review mentions Caroll and Reg, and for good reason. The setting is beautiful, the house is nice and homey, the eggs were straight from their little farm... but the hosts are one-of-a-kind. Caroll and Reg are some of the nicest people we've ever met, they go out of their way to make their guests feel comfortable, and they are... More

Crown View is an excellent place to stay with Carol and Reg to welcome you and look after your every need. Our en-suite room was well equipped and furnished. Breakfast was filling. The views are striking with a dusting of snow on the tops of the highest hills overnight when we were there. Crown View is conveniently placed if you... More

“I recommend the larger room which has an adjacent (rather than ensuite) bath . The door to the bathroom is right outside the bedroom door in a small alcove. The bath itself might be the nicest I've ever seen: large, clean, modern, with a stunning view of the Remarkables.”
