We booked this hotel after having a positive experience with its sister hotel in Christchurch and were not disappointed. Our first impression was very positive, with the friendly owner Craig making us feel welcome and taking time to make helpful suggestions about things to do in town. Our first impression of the room was similarly positive - it was spacious,...

Really good sized room. Walkable to town centre and restaurants in Main Street, about 15 minutes. Room had the biggest TV I've ever seen in accommodation, must be at least 55 inches. Good base for Fiordland Good value overall at 130$NZ

My family of 4 stayed in a 1 BR suite here. It was spacious, had everything we needed in the kitchenette area, good and free wifi - which is hard to find in NZ, and friendly, informative owner. It's not right on the lake like many other accommodations, but that didn't matter, as it is a very short walk. Driving...

Te Anau is a great stopover place for visiting Milford Sound. This accommodation ticked all the boxes and was very good value. The owner was very friendly and went above and beyond in telling us all the places we should stop on the journey to Milford Sound. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The negatives were: 1) that we could...

Although this motel doesn't look great from the outside, the rooms are large, comfortable and spotless and represent very good value. The wifi was better than in many of the other hotels we stayed in. It's a short walk to the lake and about 15 mins to the town centre.

We had two nights at the Amber Court while having a quick explore of the area and Milford Sound. The room (King Studio) is large, well equipped with utensils etc, large shower (disabled access), a LARGE led TV and the most comfortable bed we have had during one week in NZ so far. It is a short 5-10 min walk...

We stayed at the property for a night prior to tramping. The proprietor was very friendly and the property was immaculately clean with pleasant outdoor areas. Our room was large and comfortable with a well equipped kitchenette. We were walking distance (5 minutes) from the DOCs centre and lake and a short, flat walk of 15 minutes to the main...

Whilst it does not have a great street appeal the inside of the room was excellent. We were also really impressed with the excellent customer service we were given some great travel tips! Lovely clean and comfortable rooms fantastic king bed and a huge lcd tv made our stay very enjoyable

The mattress was horrendous we had body aches and unsound sleep in the 2 nights we stayed there. Shower and kitchen facilities were ok however. There was also free parking and not a far drive away from town. Would not recommend this to anyone!

Due to my travel schedule we stayed at two different places over two nights in Te Anau. We stayed at the Bella Vista Motel first, then a few days later, we stayed at Asure Amber Court. Both cost the same rate, and I was happy with both. I don't think you can go wrong with either, so you may want...
