A plethora of vintage signs around the facility does make it a village of its own. It's a short walk to town. Large rooms with kitchenette and simple utensils. Its amusing to see an "antique" TV and old fashioned bedspread yet it provides electric blanket with 2 controls on each bed. What has happened to the flat screen and duvet?...

Hotel looks like a set from "Movie world" but the rooms are dated from inside. We had booked as 2 adults travelling with 1 child and given room with 3 single beds and informed by receptionist that we did not specify any other bed type. We stayed in many other hotels during our trip , me and my wife did...

Husband and I had a night stay after visiting Milford Sound in the Fjordlands of South Island, New Zealand. Room can actually accommodate 3 adults or a couple with 2 small children. Beds were comfortable and hotel was close enough to the Te Anau lake if one desires to walk in the morning or evenings.

The unusual design of this hotel was intriguing, each separate unit has an old-fashioned sign above the unit. No mistaking which one is yours. The bed was comfortable, the front desk helpful and accomodating. The only negative was when a bus carrying tourists parked out back of our unit chugged out exhaust for a long time, necessitating closing the back...

We traveled with a group and this was a one night stopover from Queenstown to Milford Sound. The rooms were comfortable and the facades were in the form of shops from a bygone era. Handy to the lake and the village for shops and eateries.

I arrived about 7.00pm on a Friday night without a booking. Greeted at reception with a big smile. Happy to help me, gave me a great rate and was so friendly. Told me all about breakfast the next morning and told me where to park for my room. Room was huge, clean and modern. Electric blankets on the bed. Great...

We were allowed to leave our car in their lot while we went on a two day Kayaking trip. They brought a breakfast tray down in the evening as we were going to be picked up early for our trip. They even booked it for us the night before. There was a kitchen in the room, which was helpful. The...

This hotel is designed to look like an old fashioned town, and the overall effect is a little surreal. The room was adequate, although cutlery, crockery etc was in very short supply. The walls between rooms are pretty thin I think. The short walk into town is both flat and easy.

From the reviews I read online I expected more from this hotel, especially considering the room rate. Its actually a motel and there is nothing there except the front desk and the individual rooms. The restaurant on site was never open and we could not get dinner or breakfast there and had to drive into town to get anything to...

We were not impressed with this room. It appears clean, but the sheets did not have that fresh feel to them ... I hope they had been changed. We sat on the bed to watch TV and found the electric blanket was on ... not very safe. Makes you wonder what else was missed with the cleaning. We also found...
