This place was absolutely amazing, the building in its own right was stunningly beautiful, the views from the building of the lake and the mountainous surroundings was amazing. The room was lovely, but the facilities were lacking very slightly, (very poor internet connections, actually non, very poor TV reception) could have done with a few special touches but no complaints.... Stayed there for two nights with my family to celebrate a significant birthday. Fantastic. Great rooms with very knowledgeable staff which simply complimented the great service. The food was spectacular with a great birthday cake thrown in as well!

Just wonderful. Lovely staff. Excellent dinners & breakfasts. Beautiful views over the lake & mountains. We had a very well-appointed log cabin which was very comfortable & private. The location is great for walks from the famous Milford Road.

Absolutely beautiful. Wonderful setting and fantastic views. The interior is great, huge natural wood beams, supports and staircases with an immense fire place and roaring log fire. Comfortable seating and attentive staff. The food, (we had an evening meal as well as breakfast), is Nouvelle cuisine, very tasty, beautifully presented but small portions and very lightly cooked. We had to... More

We stayed at the Fiordland Lodge for three nights and were astounded by the hospitality of the staff throughout our time there. They were always willing to go the extra mile and assist with whatever request was put forward. A three course dinner each night was included as part of the stay and it was absolutely gourmet. One night in... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The lodge is gorgeous, the views amazing, and the food delicious. We stayed in a cabin and it was very comfortable and private. The cabin would be perfect for families, as it has two bedrooms.

Already reviewed perhaps so this might be a repetition. On of the nicest lodges in NZ with the best quality/price ratio taking into account superb breakfast and included dinner. Romantic and luxury place to relax between trecks. View of rooms outstanding. Andy's service exemplary.

I stayed here in March 2015 for 3 nights. The first night I was in one of the private cabins, which was very cozy. The remaining 2 nights I stayed in the main lodge, which was lovely as well. The service here was excellent, as was the food each day. The pre-dinner canapés were a nice touch. This property is... More

Wanting to visit both Milford and Doubtful Sounds we chose to stay at Fiordland Lodge in Te Anau. This has a true lodge feel with beautiful river rock and timber logs throughout the building. There were large glass windows that afforded us spectacular lake and mountain views. Getting to know the staff made our visit more personable as they were... More

We spent 3 days at Fiordland Lodge. The experience was superb. The small lodge is beautiful in its rustic way. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable. The grounds are attractive and well kept. The views are wonderful. Beyond the physical qualities, the small staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. The chef is terrific. We booked a 3 night "scenic... More
