On arrival the luggage was taken to our room, the car was parked and we were offered a welcome cup of tea. It was a gorgeous day and we sat in the garden enjoying the fabulous view. Pre-dinner drinks and nibbles were served (delicious and complimentary) in the lovely lounge area; dinner was delicious with friendly and efficient service. After...

We had a booking with the lodge and called in on route to Milford Sound. We were greeted by the manager who kindly showed us to our room (although it was only the morning) and then rang to book a cruise for later in the day. We were also offered tea which we enjoyed in the beautiful lounge. Then on...

My husband and I recently spent three nights here. The lodge is very beautiful with gorgeous views. The rooms are bright, airy, well equipped and comfortable and as we were on the upper floor of the lodge, we had beautiful views as well. Breakfasts are large with an extensive menu - well prepared and well presented. Dinners were excellent -...

We walked into the Lodge on a cloudy day and were immediately wowed by the view over Lake Te Anau. Andy welcomed us to the Lodge, pointed out key features of the Lodge and the view, then showed us to our room. The room was comfortable but not luxurious, with a shower but no bath. Wifi was complimentary and worked...

We spent three nights at Fjordland Lodge. It is a wonderful base from which to explore the amazing Fjordland region. The location is fantastic with stunning views over Te Anau lake. Throughout our stay, the service was impeccable, nothing being too much trouble for Andy and his team. And the food and wine was superb. It's expensive but worth every...

This lodge is everything you expect of a luxury lodge but without any pretension – Andy and his team just let the quality service, food and natural wonders speak for themselves in very unassuming ways. There were many highlights for our stay here. 1. Compliments to Chef Rodrigo and his kitchen team as well as the young informative and eager-to-please...

If it weren't so far from California, I would spend a week here every year! The lodge is altogether delightful. The common areas (inside and outside) are comfortable and inviting, especially with fires in the fireplaces. The rooms are very, very comfortable and focused on the stunning view of the water and mountains. The food is great. The service is...

My husband and I stayed here 4 nights and took day trips to Milford Sound, the glow worm caves and the surrounding trails. We booked a cabin because we like a little more privacy and were glad we did. The lodge is well appointed above the city with great views, although strangely, the view from the cabins is blocked by...

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments from your recent experience at Fiordland Lodge. We were delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your time at the Lodge, the cuisine and in general the Fiordland area. The log cabins do offer that little more privacy and we have trimmed back some foliage in and around the cabin...
