We loved the stay here! The room was cosy, big and clean, the host was very friendly, it has on site free parking space and the breakfast was cooked by the host and it tasted exceptionally yummy! Other than the cooked breakfast, there's free flow bread, jam, cereal, milk, tea, coffee etc. This was the best breakfast I had throughout... More

Shakesphere is a B&B located about1.5 blocks from lake shore. Place is like a small motel. Owner is great ,helpful, friendly, and includedbreakfast is good with much variety for a B&B. Rooms are clean. As good a place as any in Te Anau

basic B&B as room was a little dated and felt like an old peoples home as on a corridor so view straight onto lobby. Clean and everything you need. Regardless would recommend as very genuine owners. Ray provided a full cooked breakfast and could not do enough for you. Quiet location with short walk to lake.

more like a small motel, in an unassuming residential neighborhood. Family run. Fairly modern interior belies its external appearance. renovated bathrooms, perfectly fine. Ray (part of the owner family) gives you a personal greeting and helps you get settled, also has recommendations. Good breakfast. Immaculate and clean and good location. Te Anau was a surprise….we picked it because it was... More

Ray was fantastic! Cooked us tasty omelettes the next morning over great conversation. Accommodation was super clean and modern. Within walking distance to town. Would definitely stay here again if we get to go back one day!

Due to large group booking we had the pleasure of staying in Wet Jacket Place the newest addition to Shakespeare House. Beautiful cosy and comfortable 4 bedroom home with the most stunning snow capped mountain view, easy walk to the lake. Every comfort of home, including Rosie the pet rabbit, trampoline and sandpit for the kids (if you have them)... More

What a wonderful time we had in Te Anau staying at Shakespeare House B & B. Ray and family provide a warm friendly environment. Comfy spacious room and delicious cooked to order breakfast. Lots of local knowledge and advice if you need it. We will be back.

We LOVED this B&B. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a beautiful garden being tended to by the former owner, Margaret, who showed us to our lovely ensuite room (complete with a VERY comfortable bed, nice separate kitchenette area with fridge and sink, and rather spacious bathroom). The next morning, the new owner, Margaret's son-in-law Ray greeted us with a... More

We loved our short stay at Shakespeare house! We found it was exactly what was advertised. Very clean and well maintained b&b, rooms were a good size and the bed was comfy. Ray the owner was really lovely and very helpful. We especially loved the home cooked breakfast and friendly conversation - it really felt like we were staying at... More

We stayed in the Romeo and Juliet room. It was huge! The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Breakfast was very tasty. The complex feels quite old-fashioned but considering its history (purpose-built in the 50s as holiday accommodation if I recall correctly) it's in pretty good shape. Of the three Te Anau B&Bs we stayed in, this was probably... More
