We recently stayed at the lodge for three nights while hiking and visiting Milford Sound. We stayed in the middle upstairs room with amazing views of the grounds, golf course, lake Te Anau and mountains. The room also has a balcony. Dawn was an excellent host. She arranged a local guide for a fly fishing trip. Unfortunately it was canceled...

We stayed here in January for 2 nights the accomadation is superb and very spacious together with great service and one of the best breakfasts we had during our month's tour of South Island. Each room at Dock Bay has a large balcony and wonderful views over the garden to the lake. The owners provided complimentary wine and the fridge...

These are some of the most accomodating hosts we experienced in New Zealand. The rooms are large, the bath luxurious and the breakfast experience as close to perfection as one could expect. The sense of style incorporated into this lodge is pleasing as well as comforting. You are home. Located a few KM outside Te Anau, you are free of...

First impressions driving up the long driveway and seeing the house, WOW! Stunning house and stunning views all around. Standard of furniture and fittings inside the house is exquisite. We were greeted by Dawn the owner, a wonderful friendly and organised lady who we chatted to too for a while and she informed us she had already booked us into...

Very welcoming and helpful hostess. Breakfasts were very good and a great start to our days, as was meeting other guests. We were advised to go to the local cinema in Te Anau to watch a half hour documentary : ATA WHENUA: that was an extraordinary experience. Not to be missed. Sitting on our balcony overlooking the golf course, with...

We stayed here one night before our doubtful sound trip. This place has a gorgeous view of the lake. Rooms were very nice and spacious. Although there were other people in the house, we did not hear anything and had a very restful sleep. Breakfast was very nice as well. We will go back and stay for longer next time!

When the owner rants at a 5+ repeat guest who is in the process of preparing the third dinner in three days for the owner and her husband... this is the rating. Other than the owner's rant. The property is physically nice with large and modern rooms. Breakfast is better than average with five cooked options. The main issue... at...

Staying at Dock Bay Lodge is like living in your own mansion right next to a beautiful golf course. Looking out the back you will see the green lawns and trees and the lake, with the mountains in the distance. Dawn is the perfect hostess. Upon our arrival, she welcomed us, and chatted with us in order to offer suggestions...

We enjoyed our restful stay here very much, welcomed by our warm and friendly host Dawn and the resident dog Colin :). Very spacious room and bathroom with all needed amenities. Every morning...

Had an all too short stay in this wonderful villa hosted by Dawn and Mark. Very well appointed rooms with magnificent lake and mountain views. Ideally located for day trips to Milford Sound (must do) and for day trecks along Kepler trail. Good hearty breakfasts prepared by Sue and heaps of entertainment provided by Colin the terrier !
