A lovely venue with a lovely hostess. Liz bends over backwards to meet your every need. She's always there when you need her, but never intrusive. The breakfast is superb, the accommodation faultless. The only thing keeping a watchful eye on you is the two deer in the front paddock!! Recommend to anyone as the perfect stopover on route to...

My husband and I visited Te Anau on 7-9 Jan. The place it self is a wonderful place, from the point you step in you can feel the tranquility of the environment, and you fall in love with birds, deers and sheeps around. Liz will spoil you with her small and tasty treats during your stay, and you will find...

What a fantastic place to stay. The environment, the nature, the hospitality, you name it. Whitestone is really a place you should not forget to visit when you need a bed and a breakfast. During the six weeks we traveled through New Zealand the breakfasts our hosts offered were absolutely the very, very best. Thank you Liz and Terry for...

If you're going to Te Anau but don't want to stay in the middle of this touristy town, Whitestones is the place for you. It's a 12-minute drive but it seems like a million miles from the center of town. Liz was a fabulous host. She got up really, really early one morning to have breakfast for us at 6:30...

My family and I visited Te Anau in mid-December and we stayed at Whitestones for 3 nights. Liz and Terry are terrific hosts and they are always cheerful and helpful and made the experience special. The house is very cozy and comfortable - and thanks to the hard work of Liz, it is extremely clean too. The location is very...

Amazing B&B just 15 minutes away from town! Very clean, beautifully appointed and very comfortable. We never had an opportunity to meet Liz but she is a fantastic baker and Terry was a great host during our entire stay! He took our children on a 4 wheeler drive to see the sheep and deer on the farm and helped us...

Can't say enough good things about the place or owners. We had a fantastic stay, the rooms are well appointed and there is a small room with two singles for kids. There is a lovely loving area also to hang out in. The views from the property over the mountains and lush green fields are superb. Liz took our kids...

First, I have never posted comments on Tripadvisor but our stay at Whitestones B&B was so wonderful that I wanted to share my experience. The room, common room, and gardens are beautiful and comfortable. My husband and I felt like we were returning home at the end of a busy day touring the area. The location is idyllic with sweeping...

Whitestones is a modern B&B with two rooms on a deer farm about 15 minutes drive from Te Anau. Our room had a private entrance and a nicely tiled shower. The fields surrounding the house are filled with deer and sheep and the setting is very quiet. We also encountered a hedgehog and an assortment of birds. Liz & Terry...
