Stayed at this lovely hostel and honestly it's been the best so far after 2 weeks in the north island!!! Free unlimited wifi which was fab but the place is genuinely great!!!! Rooms are spacious and clean! Have movies and sofas in the room!!! Such a cool vibe and the staff are so welcoming! Everything just felt so easy! 👌🏻...

Clean rooms (quite small but comfortable), free wifi and two kitchens. Has a nice little vibe, with a decent location, and a good TV lounge to chill in on a rainy day. Was quite reasonably priced. Would stay here again.

Visited this place last year and I was in love with it straight away. So much art and a real comfy feel to it! The duty manager Ray has very good chat with a touch of sass. Good old fashioned NZ banter! Loads of amenities and fully functional kitchens, free wifi and a warm communal lounge with fire place. Rooms...

This hostel kicked my a-- in every positive way, from basketball, boxing class to paddling out again after a year. It is nicely located and the WWOOFrs keep the kitchen, patio and bathrooms clean and tidy. The property itself is big and you can make it your home easily. We stayed in a double and it was comfy. We stayed...

We stayed one night at Bazil's. Check-in was a breeze and there was a very laid-back vibe. Lots of outdoor patio space and cool music playing around the facility. The place is a quirky warren of rooms, tents, caravans etc. There are two separate kitchens and shower/bathroom areas. Showers are on a timer mechanism, so that hot water can be...

Hostel was okay but over priced for what it was. The camp fire was awesome on the beach and the BBQ girl was great. The stand up paddle boarding was not worth it. Not the nicest river and the staff for the paddle boarding were not confident in the activity. Would not recommend.

I've travelled all over the world and this is without a doubt one of the coolest hostels I've ever stayed in. Came here on kiwi experience back in October, was sad to have only stayed one night. Friendly staff and a great little courtyard to chill out in hammocks with a book from the book exchange, clean homely kitchen with...

Spent a night at Bazils after getting off the Heaphy track. Really nice guys running the place and an awesome hostel to relax and recover. I've spent time in a lot of hostels and this one was certainly one of the best. Thanks for the stay!

I originally checked into this hostel for 2 nights. AND I LOVED IT so much that I booked 1 extra night ! First, I could easily park my car on the carpark right behind the hostel for free. I met Ray & Steve at the reception, they are beyond friendly, super funny, always smiling, they always have tips to give...
