We wanted a quick lunch before we left for home so decided to go to the Royal Hotel. We both had the special that was $10 each - hubby had the fish and chips, with salad and I had the steak sandwich with chips and salad. The staff were great and very friendly, service was quick and we were able...

This is a regular favourite of ours, the food has definitely gone up a notch with the arrival of Tim the Chef. He is very friendly and often has a chat willing to recommend something and has a good variety of things to delight you on his menu. When you live in a regional town it's kind of hard to...

The rooms themselves are OK. Nothing special but adequate. We had a queen room with our own bathroom. The issue with our room (Number 16) was the lack of security. The antiquated window was impossible to secure and as a result through the night we had people climb onto an adjacent roof and into our room (whilst we were asleep...

Centrally located. The staff were very Friendly. There were four of us eating dinner as we were passing through the town. Atmosphere was good. We all enjoyed our meal, as it was tasty and very filling Desert was OK. But you cannot complain about the willingness of staff to accommodate our requests. Overall, we would recommend this place.

We had room number 2, the room with an en-suite and disabled access. We had no problem with noise as we stayed on a Sunday night, and there didn't seem to be any other guests. Bed was comfortable enough and the TV was pretty good. However, since we we're visiting in winter we would've liked a doona instead of a...

We ate here on a Tuesday night. The four of us had Steak, 3 Scotch fillets and one T - Bone. I cannot express the value in this meal! We weren't aware until we ordered that they were doing a 2 for 1 Deal. How did they make any money from this!!! In saying this, the steak was amazing and...

We stayed at the Royal for two nights (Friday and Saturday) and were unable to sleep on both nights. Downstairs sounded like a disco/ nightclub where the music thumped up the stairs and through the walls until 3am. When unable to sleep we thought we would watch tv but the remote didn't work!

There is a front/sports bar for casual drinks, a pool room with multiple tables, a dining room and a kids play room. This venue can cater for larger groups down to the solo or couple dining. Staff seem warm and well mannered. Seems to be a popular spot with the locals as it was quite busy. Food is suitably priced...

I often have lunch at the Royal as it is a great place to go with friends. The hotel offers a good range of lunch specials for $10 as well as a larger more comprehensive lunch menu. The specials include steak, fish, and quiche with salad and chips - and rissoles or bangers and mash. The servings are big and...
