This hotel is not much to look at on the outside, but fabulous on the inside. Gorgeous old world charm combined with wonderful murals makes for a unique space. You feel as if you are stepping into another world. Our room was a bit frayed around the edges, but had loads of charm, plus the price is very reasonable for... More

Clean and comfy accommodation. Fantastic iconic pub and verandah is stunning. Food is good and friendly service. Tip: run the shower for a few mins as it takes awhile for hot water to come through. Highly recommended. Leave with fond memories of my time there dancing with Shelita and Philma the gorgeous drag queens.

Historic hotel, filled with murals, old timber panelling and an "olde worlde" dining room. The meal we had was delicious and beautifully presented. Although the dining room was full, service was prompt and efficient.

The meal we had here was very nice, the drinks were reasonably priced and it was a unique place to visit. We visited The Palace most days that we were in Broken Hill for a drink and the staff were very friendly.

Had lunch in the dining room and was very happy with the quality of the food and the service. The paintings are not masterpieces but do make a statement. The Broken Heel festival was on the week before we arrived and the 2 metre silver high heel made for a great photo.

we chose to see The Main Drag Show at the Palace Hotel as our Broken Hill Excursion. The cold drinks and nibblies went down well. The show was great. Quite a few belly laughs and a sing a long. While movie Priscilla rolled in the background The wall and ceiling murals are very colorful and interesting. even better was when... More

After a long trip from Sydney to Broken Hill we wandered around looking for a light dinner. We were unable to get into a couple of places so went to the Palace (pub from Priscilla) where they too didn't have tables but we could order from their menu and sit at tall tables in the bar area. Service was slow... More

Another off train excursion off the Indian Pacific cut short because Broken Hill had the most rain in the last 45 years and the train signals failed. Instaed of a leisurely 2 1/2 hous we were cut back to just over an hour. However the "Priscillas" put on an excellent show and we had a drink and some snacks. They... More

I dined here purely because it was used for some of the scenes in the movie 'Queen of the desert'. I was pleasantly surprised by the menu and ordered the soft shell crab and lamb shanks. The salad in the soft shell crab was overpowered by the red onion and dear I say the meals came out to fast, not... More

Rooms have been renovated without losing the old pub charm. The front bar was busy without being oppressive and the staff were happy. The iconic paintings on the walls and ceiling are simply stunning. Verandah is simply amazing.
