Stayed in Tallarook for a business trip, the motel is clean, self catering with lots of space. Air conditioned, and comfortable bed. The vue is great on the river and easy to go for a peaceful walk in the morning or exercise in the park across the road. Richard is very helpful and if your good he might shout you...

Gidday George, I hope you and your family had a terrific festive season. Thanks for staying with us and I am really happy you had a good time. And if you dont mind, just keep the beer thing quiet. I will have to buy a pub if I am to shout everybody! Best wishes to all and I hope to...

This was a great find (courtesy of TripAdvisor)! Richard greeted us on arrival, and just made us feel so welcome and at home (not to mention being fantastic with our kids). The kids really enjoyed having a splash in the pool to blow off some steam after being in the car all day, before we headed back to a great...

Thanks LellenandCrew, It was great hosting you and I always get a good thrill out of the reviews. Some people say its a trek across the bridge but its about 600m. Plus u get to burn off dinner on the way home. Yep the pool certainly gets a workout this time of year. So thanks again for spreading the word...

Only stayed one night but no complaints whatsoever. We walked across the bridge to the RSL and had a fabulous meal. If we find ourselves back in Dubbo we will definately stay here again. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Good secure parking.

Hi Annie M, Yes I must say we would love to have you back, but the UK is a fair old trip. But I am glad you found it comfortable and you were able to take on the short stroll accross the bridge into town. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in oz. Have a great 2015...

As a regular visitor to Dubbo it's nice to find a motel that is comfortable, welcoming and relaxed. Tallarook is all those things. Good sized rooms, lots of nice touches and great service turn a 'standard looking' motel into a home away from home.. Richard, the host, is exactly that - a host, and not a manager. Always a pleasure...

Hi Boidji, Thank you very much. Its very simple to me. Every guest is a blessing. Its a competitive business. But I get so much pleasure from offering great service its insane. People treat me the same back. I think theres something in the bible about it, "do unto others....." I hope to see you again soon. Kind regards, Richard...

We stayed one night in Tallarook (Dubbo) on route to Broken Hill. The staff was friendly and courteous and the room (room 9) was clean, large and well suited to a longer stay. Picked this motel from other trip advisor reviews. Room was clean and adequate although a little tired. Price comparable to other Dubbo motels. Car parking is tight allowing little space to carry suitcases in between cars. Quiet at nights with no road noise noticed. Free wifi was good.

Hi Christine D, Very funny. I have driven to Melbourne down the Hume from Newcastle and never noticed the township of Tallarook about 100k's north of Melbourne until I bought this place. Its where the saying originated from when the railway work dried up there during the great depression. People were advised that the work had finished there, so "things...
