I was looking for somewhere to stay close to the entertainment centre for one night as we were going to a concert there, and found the Sunnyside Tavern which was great as it was close enough to walk. The stay was great, the staff friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable. The bar and staff were great. The food in the...

This stay was brilliant from beginning to end. The booking and pre-stay information was great..I was welcomed and assisted with bags to a clean, cool and comfortable room with a welcome gift. The room a queen with olde world charm has been wonderfully renovated. It was quiet. The party was well done, the food and kitchen have a great chef...

We stayed there for one night in Newcastle. It is above the pub, but you can barely hear any noise. Room and bathroom were pristine clean and we were even gifted drinks on the house. The restaurant was good too, the burger and the pizza were very tasty. The only minor thing was that wifi was not working when we...

The room was wonderful - clean, spacious enough and very comfortable. I had booked for a one night stay via Tripadvisor and the entire process of checking-in etc was extremely smooth. That night however, we were unfortunate enough that another guest at the tavern decided to smoke in their room and that meant that the deafening alarms went off somewhere...

Appreciate all of the reviews we receive and love hearing that our guests have had a great time. We may be a small, friendly local tavern but we have a lot of heart. We have pride in the service that we provide to our guests and always do our best to ensure that they leave having a great time.

We were looking for somewhere to stay near Mayfield and were told about "Sunnyside." Who would have thought, we were glad we stayed there. It's easy to get to from the expressway and in the middle of the sports / entertainment precinct. The rooms were larger than expected and were very well presented, with a great ensuite. The area is...

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us and TripAdvisor. Most guests get a pleasant surprise when they stay with us, we are a lovely suburban Tavern that offers good old fashioned hospitality. Our rooms are always well kept and our staff, well they are like family.

We stayed just overnight but it was very good. The staff is very friendly, the room was nice and clean . The bathroom is small with good size shower but no place to hang towels or to put your toiletries ! The food was good in their restaurant, really quick and the bar great! Although the bar opens at 9.30...
