We arrived during COVID without a booking in the morning and where able to book later in the day to watch the sunset. Was a beautiful location and Sam and his mother where so lovely considering we where the last sitting for the end of what seemed like a very busy day for them. Great Sparkling Rose. Be sure to visit blueberry Hill.

Last week I was brought to the Hunter Valley as a surprise birthday gift by my partner and a handful of friends. It was my first time to the area, and a variety of wineries were on the itinerary, Blueberry Hill among them.
Having tasted extensively throughout South Australia, New Zealand and all over California, France and Italy, it is without hesitation that I can say none of the wineries in the Hunter hold a candle to the product coming from Blueberry Hill. Thoughtful, delicate, nuanced, balanced, and of great substance, just wonderful.
Where many wineries in the Hunter simply play the flavor game, stopping short of merely being just chemistry sets among grape juice, Blueberry Hill actually delivers impeccable wines. And Nathan and Adel as hosts - frosting on the top.

This is a most friendly winery with personal service, knowledge, wine and fun served up in generous amounts. We trekked over Pokolbin for two & a half days tasting wines from ten different establishments ranging in size from big names to mum & dad wineries ... Blueberry Hill was the standout by some distance
If you enjoy the gift of the grape you will seek out this wonderful place at the end of McDonalds Road

Booked 2 nights here for my 40th and on arrival it was closed. Rang the manager who said the key was in the room door and he'd be back in an hour with bread. No worries.
Walk to the room, theres half a pack of toilet rolls on the leaf littered and debris covered walkway and a 3/4 consumed water bottle on our doormat. There was dog poo all over the grass around our room from the managers 2 pet dogs. The outdoor furniture was weather worn broken and scattered around (not even exaggerating). So at this point aesthetically we are thinking it could be better but we were in a good frame of mind so maintaining positivity at this point.
In the room first thing we notice is its connected to the managers living quarters, connecting door was unlocked, paper thin walls, linen cupboard with broken shelving. Not a great start.
He turns up with a loaf of bread and says hes forgotten the spreads for t he bread and he wasn't sure where the knife was to cut it. We ask about the firepit and perhaps if he could organise some timber. He said he would have some chopped up and left at our door. We went to Cessnock for dinner as everything locally was booked out but that was ok. Found a beautiful italian joint. Get back to the room around 8pm and no timber. Bugger. Oh well. Perhaps tomorrow night.
Find the shower covered in mould, but the bed was clean and comfortable.
Head out for breakfast. The website said a continental breakfast was available but none was offered. When we get back the bread knife and spreads have been delivered, but nothing to cut the bread on. We did a wine tour, was awesome. Get back, still no timber. :(
No romantic firepit for us. As we were the only guests at the time, can't help but feel a little neglected and at nearly $200 a night, this was a stay i'd rather forget. We could hear everything going on next door and he didn't turn off the outside lights until after 1230am.
I'd just like to make a suggestion or 2 to enhance future guests experience.
1. clean up the dog poop
2. get organised
3. mould away your shower
4. have a readily available supply of timber for the firepit. Perhaps a bin out the front of the room so you don't need to cut to order
5. bread, knife, chopping board, spreads should be int he room before we arrive
6. don't offer breakfast if there isn't one

We've been back here a number of times and love it each time. It's so relaxing and the owner is extremely accommodating. The wine is superb also. The restaurant suggestions were excellent (I recommend Amanda's which is a short walk away).

We visited blueberry hill winery based on our friends recommendation, Nathan and his team were exceptional in preparing an amazing cheese platter upon arrival, Nathan followed through with a thorough description of the boutique wine selection complimented by the beautiful surroundings of the 50 acre property. Do not miss out on this very boutique winery , well done to Nathan , Mia and all the staff there ! Keep up the good work.

This winery is well worth straying from the main wineries in the Hunters centre. After a day of tasting at the more familiar Cellar Doors we found ourselves at Blueberry Hill as it was close to our accommodation. This was a lucky find for us and No1 on our visit list for the future. Nathan and Adele have a small selection for tasting 'BUT' we enjoyed and bought everyone of them! Their hospitality was second to none, and they even have a 'secret weapon' for group tastings/gatherings in an underground wine cellar. Thanks very much Guys and we will be back!

Thanks for a great wine tasting experience. We met the new owners who are very friendly, passionate and excited about their plans. The best wine tasting I have in a long while. Ask about the back story on 2015 Connoisseur Shiraz and Cab Sav.

We are by no means wine connoisseurs, however we recently spent a weekend in the Barossa Valley in SA and live not far from the Yarra Valley in Victoria, so comparisons with the Hunter Valley were hard to avoid. We found much of the Hunter highly commercial and lacking in soul, from accommodation to vineyards and also taking eateries into consideration. We couldn't find any gorgeous villages like Tanunda in SA or any personalised service such as at Chateau Yering or Dominique Portet in the Yarra Valley. That is, until we visited Blueberry Hill Vineyard! Hubby's inspired wine choice at Legends Grill the night before led us to tracking down the Pinot noir at the cellar door of Blueberry Hill (where we discovered the nearly 100% markup at the restaurant!!). But the reasonable price was only the beginning- we were warmly welcomed and individually attended to at this beautiful boutique winery. The proprietors only took over the running of the place four months prior but they are clearly naturals - their wines are amazing, their reds in particular are just - well, special! - and the friendly atmosphere suits people who don't want to be w*nkers about wine, if you'll excuse the phrase. The setting is divine, with views of the hills and vines, and an open air fire and outdoor tasting. Nothing was any trouble at all. This winery restored the faith that wine tasting should be a sensory and pleasurable experience rather than a factory tour and a transactional relationship. DO NOT MISS THIS WINERY!

First vineyard stop-off in Hunters Valley and it was superb. The wine was fantastic and we had a tasting - along with ice-cream and chocolate. Difficult to leave without buying a few bottles and it is well worth it. Beautiful surroundings and very well looked after by the welcoming Sam (who went beyond his duties to ensure we had a good trip and indeed, were fixed for dinner later on). Hugely enjoyable experience and will return. Go check it out.

That weekend is super busy due to a big concert down the road from this winery. I only know as I’m also there for that weekend for the concert. But you’re best bet is to ask the winery directly to get a quicker answer 😊
