We were all put up in great rooms, and not only were the prices for rooms met, we were give the option...

This trip marked my return to the Hunter, so when I found out how close the Mercure was to the Smelly Cheese Shop I was very pleased! My friend had her wedding at the hotel and, as part of the wedding party, I was at the Mercure for four nights' total. I spent the first night in a twin room...

My husband booked us 2 nights here for my 40th birthday. It was central, clean, private and made for a wonderful weekend away. We were able to get a discount deal on one of the discount hotel websites, and booked a deluxe room with the sunken bath. As we didn't spend an awful lot of time in the hotel I...

As frequent visitors to the Hunter Valley, my husband and I have stayed at all of the main hotels in the area...and the Mecure is the best. We brought my visiting family members to the Hunter Valley and had the greatest experience at this hotel...best location, central, and within walking distance to the main hubs of the hunter including Harrigans...

I can't fault the location - it's as central as you would ever need to be in the Hunter. It's nearby to heaps of restaurants and vineyards and the countryside setting is just stunningly beautiful. As for the hotel - it's a mixed bag. The rooms and hotel need some major TLC - our room had broken and grimy air...

The rooms are spacious and clean. We stayed in a room towards the back and it had a nice little back porch leading to a garden and the tennis courts. Easy and convenient place to stay with plenty of attractions close by like the Hunter Valley Gardens and it's shopping area.
