The accomodation was billed on websites as being a quite hi-grade property with country views and was given high ratings but the property itself needed a re-fit and the pool was not that great at all. Average at best and not superb for the property. Location was the only thing it had going for it

Right in the middle of the action but still quiet. We had a fantastic room which was clean and spacious. We had a suite which consisted of a kitchen/dining sitting room, bathroom, separate bedroom and terrace overlooking the vines. I liked the breakfast concept of helping yourself in the morning, it meant we could relax on our terrace without having...

We spent 3 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. In the heart of the Hunter Valley, rooms were clean and we use the pool tool. The restaurant wasn't open for breakfast, but they left in your room, muesli, yoghurt, orange juice and muffins with a selection of toppings. The restaurant food, was fantastic, so highly recommend it.

We spent two nights here. We enjoyed a glass of wine, while enjoying beautiful views. The restaurant, while not open for breakfast, was good for an easy dinner after a long drive. Cross the road and go behind the buildings to see a kangaroo grazing area. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. In the heart of the Hunter Valley, it boasts motel-style facilities in cabins surrounded by the family vineyards and views over the countryside. Kettle, toaster and fridge, no cooking facilities as such. Breakfast ingredients provided each day for a light continental breakfast which we ate on the balcony, overlooking the vineyard. We...

The Hermitage Lodge has a beautiful vineyard setting and is well located for visiting Pokolbin vineyards. The restaurant, Il Cacciatore, is good value and unpretentious and I would certainly go back there again for dinner. But the place is to be avoided on weekends in summer. Firstly, because it is near an outdoor venue for rock concerts which creates an undesirable...

We spent a couple of nights at Hermitage lodge. It was clean and comfortable and our rooms were spacious. It's a small hotel in a great position to tour the vineyards. Great breakfast supplied to eat on the verandah or share a glass of the hotels own wine in the evening there.

My husband and I had a fabulous time in the hunter this weekend. Hermitage Lodge is absolutely spot on. We stayed in a Vineyard Suite. Big rooms with big bathroom. Super comfy bed. Breakfast is yum. The restaurant on site is fantastic. They do takeaway also. Super friendly staff all round. Gardens are beautiful. Love it. I will be back.
