Beautiful grounds and rooms. Great overall atmosphere and decor. Delicious food from room service and restaurant using mostly local produce. Very friendly, knowlegeable and helpful staff. Comfortable beds and lounges, fluffy towels and thick pillows. This is easliy the best place I have ever stayed. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone from families to singles or couples.

Had a great time here at hermitage lodge. We stayed a few nights in one of the suites. Beautiful view, close enough to many vineyards. The room was a good size, the staff were amazing, helpful and friendly, the restaurant was excellent and the price was great. The room was cleaned everyday and it all just made our trip away...

Had an amazing stay with Hermitage Lodge. Views and rooms were amazing. Welcome letter was informative and removed the usual clutter of signs you can expect in a hotel/lodge room. Staff were second to none and the food was delicious. First time in the Hunter Valley and they were very accommodating. Would stay again.

Came up here to get away for the 2nd year in a row for my Wife's Birthday and all I can is yet again the team has excelled. Service and staff were helpful as always. Room was comfortable and well maintained. The restaurant "Il Cacciatore" was fantastic. Chef went out of his way to meet my Wife's dietary needs and...

Beautiful location. Excellent restaurant. Rooms are a good size and very clean. The balcony has lovely view over vineyards and bushland. Quiet and comfortable night sleep. Continental breakfast included in your room to eat on balcony and plunger coffee provided. An overall wonderful stay.

Hermitage Lodge is in a fantastic location in the Hunter Valley and has an amazing on-site restaurant that I highly recommend. Honestly though, I would not stay here again despite the room being comfortable. The reason? The letter we received upon check-in that outlined the "rules" of the hotel. While I know these are standard to sometimes find in your...

Dear Jacquie, Thank you so much for your review and for attaching the letter, I actually thought that maybe you got some other correspondence. The letter has evolved over the years as a result of various situations we have encountered. Unfortunately people do not read information in the compendiums. Originally we handed the guests the welcome letter, however they didn’t...

FABULOUS central location in the hunter. We stayed in the two storey suit with spa on the upstairs outdoor deck and fireplace in lounge room. Very well appointented accomodation with full kitchen and large fridge. Complimentary breakfast provisions are yummy and great quality. Acommodation very cosy, but modern and well-kept. Only negative was the bed - was a bit hard...

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights for our 5th anniversary, and had a lovely time. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly, and we even got upgraded to a suite on arrival! It was perfect, with a cozy fireplace and a lovely little balcony overlooking the vineyard. The restaurant, Il Cacciatore, was fantastic as...

Amazing amazing amazing. We stayed in a premier villa which had a beautiful gas fire and a spa in the open air on the upper deck. From the time we checked in until we checked out it was amazing. We have stayed previously and it felt so good to be back again . Noreen and Mark are amazing hosts. They...
