Detailed Reviews
This hotel provides great value for money with opportunity for a relaxed, self-paced stay. The option to have a slow self catered breakfast was great, with a sit on the veranda enjoying a morning cuppa to plan the day ahead. It suited us not having serviced rooms as there was no one pacing the corridor waiting for you to leave.
Matt was very helpful, cheery and informative at check-in.
Our only comment would be that you can tell this is a popular venue and the rooms well used as our room was just on the edge of needing some maintenance. There were some wall dings, the bathroom door had water damage, a loose shower head and some ‘deep cleaning’ of the bathroom required. As they say “A stitch in time saves nine!”

I’m always suspicious of rave reviews, but in this case they are well worth it. We are pretty particular on hotels and have travelled extensively around the world. We loved the warm welcome and service - country hospitality that went above and beyond with local tips and generously giving us cheese and wine from his personal collection when we realised our dinner hamper we had packed was lacking these items. Incredible!
The room was meticulously clean, and the beds were very comfortable. It was a lovely treat to have the gas fire which was really effective. The kitchen has everything you need. The location is easy access to Pokolbin but also away from any road noise, and feels like you are in the middle of nowhere so the stars at night are so bright. We stayed as a couple but this would be a great spot for a family too as the villas are quite spacious. Would recommend this for a very relaxed self contained stay.

I had no idea that this hotel was as green by surroundings and as green by practice as it was. Surrounded by green bush and grasslands, you wake up seeing Kangaroos hopping past your front door and past your car as if they were your neighbors. We saw rabbits and many wildlife outside our room.
It was a green and off grid hotel by practice as they farmed their water by rain water and solar electricity. I was pleasantly surprised by all this setup and very impressed.
The hotel room was modern and generally clean. Their manager Matt was awesome to deal with and always helpful. We felt very much at home staying at this hotel.
The only down side on this trip was a slight flood in our bath tub. But overall the stay was great and my whole family really enjoyed it.
We will definitely be back!

The location is great -walking distance to Binbadgen Winery and 10min drive to town.
Needs a bit of an update and most importantly a clean . Cups were dirty and the box the coffee and tea was in was so old and never been cleaned as well as the tea bags always breaking.
Studio is nice though and very spacious with a heater and aircon however we did leave a empty pizza box on the counter and the next day their was so many ants.

I was really looking forward to staying however as soon as we got into the room I knew I couldn’t spend an hour in this room let alone 2 nights. The two bedroom villa is average size, but it had a terrible smell, was dark, lacked any form of comfort and was the opposite of all the positive reviews I have read. To top it off, the couch was broken and the outdoor patio areas were tiny. When staying in the beautiful hunter your view should be the beautiful surroundings and not the carpark or villa block in front of you.

Response from HBoutique Hotel, General Manager at H Boutique Hunter Valley
Responded Dec 17, 2020
Thank you for your feedback, although we are a little lost with these comments as we have not had any complaints to the effect of 'not being able to spend an hour in the room' as all guests have stayed to full time, not one guest in the past year in fact has checked out early. We also did not receive any feedback during your 'stay' in regards to the smell of the room. We also cannot find where your broken couch was unfortunately, all couches in working order. Our outdoor areas spill out both front and back of all villas, to very large areas, never had we had that feedback, but we appreciate your honest comment. Always a good policy to let the good people of the hotel you are staying of any issues while you are actually there, so at least we know which room was so horrible! Would love to know what booking this was, tripadvisor reviewers tend to want to be hidden behind nicknames, so we can actually action improvements if needed. Call us on (02)49986969 if you would like to give us that opportunity.

We booked to stay here super last minute for one night, and my only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! We were kept up to date with our booking pre-arrival and greeted by very friendly staff who were helpful in offering us advice and recommendations on local wineries, tour services and taxis. The villas are a lot bigger and spacious than we expected which was a lovely surprise, ours even looked out onto beautiful greenery where you can spot kangaroos and wild rabbits. The location is ideal, with most of the wineries being within a 5min drive or taxi ride (Uber was available). The bathroom was huge, as were the super comfy beds. We certainly look forward to staying here again soon!

We stayed at H Boutique Hotel and it was very good, easy check in/out. The manager is very helpful and cannot do enough for you. The unit is very spacious, comfortable bed and lovely view. Some people mentioned the bathroom sprays water out of shower but if you put the shower head down a bit then it doesnt spray out of the shower cubicle.
There is wine tasting on site and a cafe which has great coffee and continental breakfast. It is close to all locations and I would definitely stay there again.
One very tiny criticism is coming home at night we couldnt see our unit number and we had to count the units to recognise ours. There is an outside light but not over or under the unit number which is camouflaged by shrubbery from the road and car park. Maybe reflective numbers would help or more signage.
Dont let that put you off. The units are great and highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful accomodation and location, setting is stunning to watch the sunset, as the the kangaroos jump past and you have a wine around the fire pit. Management and staff were fantastic, went out of there way to make our stay amazing. Large spacious villas, super comfortable bed, loved the log gas fireplace perfect for romantc evenings in. Fantastic way to spend our first anniversary, absolutely adored our time at H Boutique!

I spent a weekend at this establishment. The rooms are very clean, comfy bed. Only a short drive to Hope Estate, Roche and Hunter Valley Gardens. The staff were very helpful in suggesting great wineries and cafes, and went out of their way to assist with transfers, picnic blanket and wine glasses.

We arrived on Friday afternoon and were very welcomed by Matt. We had a group of four guys for a golf weekend. We scheduled to play at Cypress, Hunter Valley and The Vintage.
The location is perfect being centrally located between all three courses.
Being golfers we had early starts and Matt allowed us to prepare breakfast packs for the following morning.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We will most definitely stay here again for our next trip to the Hunter.
Thank you again H Boutique for making this the perfect place for us to stay.
Michael.
