Had an amazing stay at this wonderful accomodation. My family of four stayed at the Country Villa which consists of three bedrooms and beds which can be separated in to single beds or can be combined in to a King size bed. Beds & pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and functional, the shower contained two shower heads with great water pressure and was fully stocked with numerous toiletries & towels upon arrival. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge & freezer, stove, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster & includes plates, glasses, cutlery & everything you would require in a kitchen. The living room has two couches, a large tv and a reverse cycle air-condition perfect for any weather. There is also a dining table perfect for enjoying meals. As mentioned above there are three bedrooms in the Country Villa accomodation, each has a sliding mirror for clothes storage and a window which allows you to look outside in to the yard & blinds for when you are ready to sleep. All bedrooms have its own fan and bedside tables and have two power points on each side. The middle room has a door which allows you to walk outside on to the verandah. The verandah is a lovely area where you can sit outside and relax and also consists of a table, chairs and a private barbeque. There is also ample space for parking outside the country villa.
There are two pools & tennis courts at this accomodation which we enjoyed using. Pokolbin Village also has many specialty shops right on site.
We came for a concert which was being held at Hope Estate and it is literally walking distance/ right across the road which was wonderful and very convenient. Pokolbin Village is in the heart of the Hunter Valley and is a quick drive to pretty much anywhere in the Hunter Valley. A very big thank you to the wonderful ladies at reception! Upon arrival we met Amanda & Ngaire who were extremely warm, helpful, knowledgeable and even offered to walk us to our property when we got a bit lost. They made sure to let us know that if we needed any assistance that they would be there to provide it. Also a massive thank you to Nicole who from the moment we booked the accomodation right up until the time we arrived was very helpful with phone calls and emails & answering all of our questions. And during our stay right up until the moment we left was extremely helpful & just all around lovely. Amanda, Ngaire & Nicole… you are the heart of this accomodation and we thank you & appreciate you! Whether you are coming to the Hunter Valley for a vacation or a few days rest I recommend staying at Pokolbin Village accomodation, I will definitely be back.

Stayed at Pokolbin Village this weekend for my birthday and can honestly say it was a delight. We were upgraded for free to a larger house and it exceeded my expectations. Massive dining rooms, bedrooms, 2 large living rooms. Massive kitchen stocked with plenty of tea coffee and sugars. An amazing arrange of appliances (blender, kettle, microwave, oven etc). The main lounge room TV was massive, complete with Netflix and YouTube access which came in handy when we had a cold rainy day to sit and binge watch movies all day. The second lounge room had a DVD player too. Two fire places, inside and outside. The outside area was gorgeous with multiple outside decks, including a table and chairs to bring your food and drinks outside to enjoy the sunset/sunrise. There was also huge comfy bean bag chairs to sit around the fire pit. The beds inside were big king size beds, which were super comfortable and the pillows were just as comfy too. 4 out of the 5 bedrooms has ensuite bathrooms and 1 of them also had a spa bath! We were lucky enough to also have heaps of kangaroos come close to our house too! Pokolbin village also has a petting farm with lots of animals including, horses, chickens, pigs, bunnies, lambs, turkey’s, chickens and donkeys! There is also a general store, bottle shop, cafe, smelly cheese shop and a chocolate fudge store here aswell. General store came in handy when we needed some fresh eggs, bread and milk for breakfast. However a drive into town is only a 15 minute drive if you want to do a proper grocery shop! All in all if was an absolute delight staying here and would absolutely return and recommend!!

The room had been given a makeover with some new fittings and features which made it pleasant without being noteworthy.
Staff were very helpful throughout our visit.
Location is within walking distance of a number of wineries which is good when you are near your driving limit.

I stayed with my mum and two children (9yo and 6yo) and we all loved it. We were upgraded from a 3 bedroom villa to the 4 bedroom Homestead at no extra cost, and the amenities, privacy, and space was wonderful. Wifi was fantastic, Netflix was included, full kitchen, lovely big bath. Air con in the living room and fans in each bedroom. There is a gorgeous long deck at the back of the homestead overlooking a paddock where kangaroos would gather to feed at dusk, the kids loved it. We had a swim in the pool, which is just a regular pool, but still fun for the kids.

The location is amazing - so good to have the shops of Pokolbin Village out the front (two cafes, a boutique homewares/jewellery/clothing store, a general store, a cheese/chocolate shop), Roche Estate with two lovely restaurants next door, Hunter Valley Gardens only a few mins away, and the zoo about 8 mins away).

The staff were very friendly and helpful, I had to ring up a couple of times to change dates and they were very flexible about it all. My mum also left something behind and they went and found it for us and are posting it back. Thank you!

We rented The Retreat for 3 nights for a family wedding in the area. The house and all the facilities were amazing 10/10. The house and surrounds were immaculately maintained. The beds were comfortable ,multiple bathrooms/ensuites to accommodate everyone easily and large living areas for socialising together. Everyone was thrilled with the house and it made our family get together all that more special.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We are already planning our next visit!

Everything was very clean and comfortable. So handy having a pool to cool off in. We slept very well - it was quiet and there were fans and air con in the rooms. My favourite feature was the bedroom is separate to the main living area. TV has Netflix. The location is very convenient, with cafes, restaurant, bottle shop, chocolate shop, general store and gift shop next door.

We stayed for two nights in a standard queen room. While compact, it had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable (pillows were a little firm) the bathroom was well appointed with lots of towels and toiletries. The AC was efficient as was the ceiling fan. There was a small balcony, with two chairs and a table. There was not cupboard and while there was a small rack of hooks there were no coat hangars and we had to organise with friends to drop us off some hangars for our “wedding clothes” this was a minor issue and did not detract from our pleasant stay. The room wa S good value for money and Pokolbin Village has excellent amenities including an excellent general store, bottle shop and several eateries, plus a pool which although we didn’t have time to use looked inviting! I would recommend staying at Pokolbin Village it is central to the Hunter wine trail and is clearly popular both for its accommodation and amenities

Stayed at Pokolbin Village over a 2 night stay with my extended family. We had 3 x 2 bedroom small cabins and 2 x larger Villas all close to each other + 1 x 3 bedroom Cottage. We had access to the fire pit on the first night for some pre-dinner drinks and toasted marshmallows before the rains came the following day. The rooms were clean and well appointed, all with verandahs and BBQ facilities. WIFI slow but okay if you download your TV shows or movies before you get to the area. Reception staff helpful and offered free milk and fresh farm eggs on arrival. Kangaroos and native wildlife seen about over the weekend, which was a treat.

The Pokolbin Village offers something for everyone.

The staff were extremely helpful and made our stay a very personalised experience.

There is so much variety on offer in regards to the accommodation which we found to be clean and filled with everything you will need and then some for a comfortable stay. You will find this location hard to beat.

The Village Shops have everything you need. You will want for nothing and like us wonder why you left the property when it was all right there on our doorstep or just a 5 minute walk to neighbouring businesses.

I won't be staying anywhere else when I return to this beautiful location in the hunter valley

We were looking for somewhere to stay in the Hunter for a couple of days during the week. The Pokolbin Village was perfect for us as it was close to all tourist resources and was very reasonably priced (compared to other accommodation in the area.) All the basic facilities are provided and the king bed was very comfortable. The lounge was also very comfortable. Everything in the bathroom worked well. This is not a fancy place, but very functional and comfortable. Admittedly we were there during the week, but it was also very quiet.
